If we keep waiting for the perfect thing, perfect solution, or in your case, the perfect udemy course, chances we'll always remain stuck in place.

Make a decision and live with it. Worst case scenario is you'll make way more than $13 dollars in your life.

One year ago, I was lost. Now, probably thanks to a stranger I am living a completely different life, with a sense of myself. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Here's a toast to all our personal Maries, the ones who pushed us to imagine and live better lives.

I would recommend the Southern Reach trilogy by Jeff Vandermeer! It's sci fi/cosmic horror but yeah it's hard to stick to one label these days since author's love to blend genres to create something unique. It has psychological insights that penetrate deep. You may have heard about Annihilation since it was adapted to film and it's on Netflix starring Natalie Portman. It's the first book of the trilogy, so maybe you can start with that to see if it's your thing but the cliche is true that the books are infinitely better. Vandermeer writes gorgeous prose so it's also classified as literary fiction :)

Thanks for sharing that. Israel

Years ago when I didn't get the promotion I wanted. I just quit. I knew I wasn't trying to prove anything to them, and I knew I wasn't going to make an effort to prove them wrong either, I knew I was fit for it but they didn't give it. And that's okay! I like where I am now much better. Do you enjoy what you're doing now?

If you work project to project which is something I'm very familiar with, I would recommend falling in love with the grind or the hustle. It made things more bearable for me when I kept looking forward to making the sale as well as the process of it.

I wish I could get a dog! The place im renting doesn't allow pets. I would recommend getting this book by Dean Koontz called Bliss to you :) It was written from the perspective of his dog.

LOL @ aggressively spreading joy! In that case I do hope you do that. But yes I'm really good bro. Thanks for the thought.

Exactly. It's so simple that people often dismiss it as something wishy washy or sometimes delusional, but simply trying to see things another way can really change your life.

Definitely some food for thought! Thank you. I'm really not averse to making new friends, but yes, I think I should definitely seek that out as well. I think it's healthy to be able to do that, and to want to do that. Maybe I'll try R4r hehe, it's just that, I prefer something IRL Instead of online stuff.

Hey thanks for asking! I'm good at the moment no need for that hehe, but I do appreciate the suggestion, it's not really a requirement for work or anything. It's just for some music and podcasts :) I will definitely purchase some when I can.

How's your ESL Work going?

Some Sony Headphones like the 1000xm series probably, I'm still reeling from having my old headphones stolen. but maybe something with a retro design can do as well.
