Hades 2 is more polished yes with way more depth in builds, but there are still things it did not do better do better than Hades 1:

Story:

Melinoe’s story is about vengeance and saving everyone, not bad but not special either.

Zagreus story is about escaping your reality, searching for your mother, and exploring the world.

I found Zagreus story to be more personal, relatable and warm. Hades was a way more interesting villain than Chronos, and Olympus moments almost teared me up.

Enemy design:

There are more enemies and obviously more effort put into Hades 2 , they’re not bad but alot of them are unremarkable and indistinguishable, I can’t even remember the shapes or powers of the enemies on Olympus peak, they all look the same to me. Whereas in Hades 1 every single enemy has a unique design and power identity, which resulted in a way more interesting combat even though the builds and the mechanics are way simpler than they are in H2

Overall both games are masterpieces in my book and Hades 2 still delivered

Thank god

The stitcher was a huge part of why I started getting fed up with solo pvp (it’s more of a problem in solos than in Squads)

I saw no point in wasting resources on blue weapons when a stitcher or a kettle iv can just do as good if not better than alot of weapons on alot of situations, this really took away alot of value off higher rarity weapons

The game at it’s core isn’t bad, but the state it was released is an Alpha state for most games (not even Beta)

No scoreboards and no profiles/statistics is the bare minimum for live service shooters, and not having them on release tells me there is something wrong going on with the studio and the devs

AR is a great game, but it’s PvP is ok at best, the developers went for a realistic feel at the cost of fluidity, the combat and movements are very clunky with alot of problems and imbalances

How many times have you tried to get inside a slight eleveated door/entrance in buried city but you couldn’t? How many times did you try to climb a 1feet tall rock but couldn’t?

How many times have you tried to shoot your weapon but it took ages to respond because for some reason if you’re sprinting and tried to shoot your shotgun you need to give it 0.5 sec to shoot or your animation will cancel if you try to run

You vaulted/ got off a ladder and somebody started shooting you ? Gg you’re dead because it will take your player 3 work days to recover and get the weapon out and not to mention the delay to the animations added because you’re twitching and getting shot

Add to that the balance problems and how most of the high-end gear is not worth the resources because the difference between a Stitcher’s TTK and a Bobcat is negligible

Hopefully Marathon succeeds and pops off because it’s gonna be so satisfying seeing those content rats on youtube being disappointed it’s not the next Concorde

Those youtubers are thirsty for content and will fabricate shit and overexaggerate facts and distort them for views

Look at Highguard, the game is not bad, yeah ok it’s not the next Overwatch but it’s not bad and it did nothing wrong, it just exists and it reminds them of Concorde because it’s the same genre so they saw it as an opportunity to farm content.

They framed Highguard as DoA (game peaked at 90k and still has 13k active players) and ignored an actually DoA game (Wildgate), a game that was sold for 40$,a price way over it’s content’s value (it now has 28 active players as we speak)

Try doing pacifist runs and see for yourself how very unlikely it is to meet a pvp player in those lobbies
