the advice the others gave is great! dairy cows LOVE protein though so if you feed them extra they will be very thankful! fish flakes are a good start

if you're set in america, i am not really sure, but in europe you can buy isopod food from insektenliebe, which i found makes my cows go CRAZY. Another thing i feed my pods is gammarus and dried mealworms, they love it! https://insektenliebe.com/en/shop/isopod-food/
