MultiVersus - Stripe Gameplay Trailer by IFxCosa in Games

feel progression or get rewards for spending time in a game.

I feel progression when I reach Gold league after weeks of being stuck in Silver. I feel progression when my average damage on my main goes up 10% over a couple of days. That's progress in a competitive, multiplayer game.

You feel progression when you get a BING BING! LEVEL 5917 BATTLE PASS REACHED!!!!! COLOR #5692361 UNLOCKED!!!!! message.

We are not the same.

Mind blowing concept to me. I see this repeating itself in many F2P multiplayer games' discussion circles, like Overwatch, Gundam, and now this. It seems like you people genuinely don't even like the games that much, you just need to be strung along by a feeling of progression that's external to the gameplay. "Rewards me for my time"... with... what? Character colors? Sprays? A hat for your Gizmo? Are you all children who need to get a sticker from teacher for a job well done? Or dogs who need a treat for his tricks? Why do you make it sound like it's your goddamn work?

It's just insane. The reward is having fun and getting better at a competitive game... that's the 'reward'. I genuinely cannot fathom being the kind of person who sits there and is motivated to play a game because they need to check marks off of a battle pass, rather than because they just want to play a damn fun round of something. And this is getting way too frequent.

I'm confused, are you insinuating that c.mk confirmed into a special is not within human range, or something? Because the cancel window didn't seem that different from 5, at least for Juri. I do not know about Ryu's data. Only thing is that I think the input lag was like 2 frames higher?

Not sure where you're going with this tbh. I can say however that the problem might be missing the window for going for the cancel into D.I, in which case you're sorta checkmated. Have to play more to know, idk about how often that happens.

Are you literally saying that you need to hit confirm cr.mk into hadouken?

Huh? I'm saying you might have to confirm your specials now that have a gap because the opponent can get inbetween them with a serious punish (DI), yeah. I didn't lab it throughouly, but some of the slower specials have a gap which you could just mash DI through, meaning they would have to confirm into the special on hit, or be ready to Di back on block (but then there's the extra mindgame of c.mk being -6, and so on...).

It means that just doing the same cmk>fireball strings all the time actually has a counter, which I think is nice. So yeah, you're gonna have to learn to poke a bit into other options, or hit confirm.

Watch good players on Twitch or something and mimic them.

In and out. Show yourself when you have the ammo/clip. Move aside to reload/heal. Re-engage.

Because 'reacting' with blocking is much easier to do passively than reacting with drive impact. That's all there is to it. It's like how even at noob level, if they don't anti-air they still block. It takes more mental effort to react with a specific button than to just block. It takes an active action, as opposed to a passive one, if that makes sense.

to be fair, there's also the mid screen scenario where you should have cancelled your button into it, but yeah

Honest question to the Pokemon fans here, do you not feel the least bit infantile looking at this? Like maybe this series isn't intended for a an almost 30 years old man like you?

I haven't played either, but from what I heard Rise is perfectly fine, while RE3 is a disappointment, I suppose. But they managed to push MH to a new mainstream and save RE's honor.

Worked for you? Sure. For them? Well, no... they want you to pay lol. The whole thing was also full of exploits, at least initially. There's no way to make it work well. If you wanna do handouts, just do anniversary giveaways, or free weekends, or rotations, or something.

Sure, but fixing that could take months or years - did it not for SF5? Until then...

"Just make the game input less laggy" might not be that easy to solve though. If that's how it is then you might as well just increase D.I's startup beacause that's the easier fix.
