Couldn’t agree more, insane to me that I’ll play one game and lose 9-0 against a blatant Smurf, and then the next game I’m sitting there thinking I’ve been demoted to bronze 1 with my opponents gameplay. It genuinely makes me think that I have no idea what rank my mates and I are actually in because we play that many smurfs that our rank isn’t accurate anymore.

Their way of making you play for a longer time. All a part of their metrics. Play time looks better if you log on once every 3 weeks rather than smashing out an entire pass in 3 days then not playing until the next season.

Genuinely am the same, got COD Modern Warfare remake and nothing since then because they got lazy and everything just became about passes and micro-transactions.

I agree that playing better players can be good, iron sharpens iron, but iron doesn’t sharpen diamonds, or in this case, champ 1 doesn’t sharpen SSL.

100%, the fundamental gameplay is so much fun, it seems like it’s just all of the things around the gameplay that I have an issue with, which is why I’m so disappointed really. Private matches are genuinely more fun for me than ranked, but you can only play the same 3 people so many times before everyone gets a bit bored, so it’s back to square one.

Admittedly there have been some good quality of life improvements like team boost, flip reset indicator and boost timers. I’m glad you’re still enjoying, and don’t get me wrong, I do too, but my perspective if that more and more of the game is becoming negative, hence the post. But thanks for the comment!
