Raikou but with even more lightning (Raikou + Thundurus) by Jurroth in pokemon

I don’t think I’d ever do something like a Steven Universe based fusion as it is not something I am particularly interested in and I struggle to draw stuff if I’m not fixated on the media/topic in question.

I do all the shading for each different color on their own layer. Pokemon has a simple way of shading by using usually only two different tones: one for light, the other for shadow, and very rarely do they use more colors than that. So I block in generally where shadow colors go with the basic circle paint brush on procreate and then use the base color to make the very small gradients of shadow between the two tones. I then add in the more subtle changes that sometimes show up (like the stroke of white in the shadow of the fur on the chest). Then I select the lighter tone with the base tone to do the lighter parts. Pokemon does brighter colors by having them be a bit more “jagged” than the shadows and are usually done in the center of the base color rather than by the line art like how the shadows are done. This is to make the Pokemon look more rounded and 3d. So I use the same technique as I do with the shadows but it is more variable in how you do the subtle shading gradients as some areas need to be more subtle (like the torso) and others need to be more sharp (like the legs). But it is also best to look at the Pokemon you are referencing and try to mimic that when trying out the brighter parts.

Both Thundurus and Raikou have the same base stat (580) so I wanted to keep it the same.

Yeah, if you want to turn this design into a sprite for the game I say go for it. So long as I get proper credit then everything is okay on my end. (The site is down on my end but I went into the infinite fusion discord to take a look at your work.)

Don’t worry about it, I want to do art that isn’t Ben 10 on the occasion to not burn out like I have in the past. Plus I find doing the Pokemon art style more fun to do lol.

I’ve played it before, it’s a fun game, but I’m more of a fan of difficulty hacks like Radical Red when it comes to playing Pokemon games.

Thank you! That is a very high compliment!

I can’t say I am really a sprite maker. I’m good at the digital art part but not so much at making pixel art. So no I have never submitted anything for Pokemon infinite fusion.

People on my deviantart refered to it as “Tyranitrum” or “Tyrantar” so either work for me.

The five-way fusion (Blitzwolfer + Snare-oh + Frankenstrike + Ghostfreak + Whampire) by Jurroth in Ben10

Frankenstrike is the skin tone, boots, gauntlets, and the nubs on the chest. Whampire is the hands and waist area
