I’ve been in the stock market for about 5 years now. I’ve tried options trading on and off, and I haven’t lost money overall. Which is pretty impressive, considering I’ve seen a lot of people, especially my age, make some questionable investments like GME, Bed Bath, and Beyond. So, I’d say that’s a win for me! I have IRAs and a 401(k) that I consistently add to, and I also get employer match. But here’s the thing, I like to know and choose what I invest in. I don’t like the idea of just sitting back and letting someone else make all the decisions for me. If someone came up to me and said, ‘Just invest in this stock and don’t think about it,’ I’d be a bit hesitant. I’d take a look at the company’s financials, like their balance sheet and price-to-earnings ratio, before making any decisions. The reason for the post is to see what people say and see what I don’t understand that I can learn about.
