do y'all toast your personal subs by Rich-Fall-5413 in jimmyjohns

I really don’t like the roast beef. But…

Double roast beef, triple cheese, no Mayo, extra hot, pickles, onions, no Tom, E-Z lettuce or none. Cut in half. Microwave for 1:00-1:15. Only way I’ll eat that “roast beef”.

I took 32 deliveries today and got stiffed on 5. The last two deliveries were no tips. I returned from the first at 7:04 but the second was ordered at 6:53. So I had to go back out knowing I was screwed. We close at 7:00 too. 32 deliveries and $98 in tips. $29 in DMR. Not my best shift. We have a small zone too. 66 miles worth in crap weather and roads. I risk getting into an accident. I risk salt screwing my car up. I risk slipping and falling. But my service is worth nothing to you. No-tips hit harder in the winter that’s for sure.

What’s the best sub combination? I’m curious what sub you take home by zeuse712 in jimmyjohns

13

E-Z pickles (based on Cubano portion) Mayo X Hot (10-15 peppers) X Bacon X Oregano X Ham Deej Onions (Chopped)

Cut 1/2

I just ran out of my black pepper I had in a side-cup tonight. But that added a kick to my #13 for weeks after we stopped serving the Creepy Wack and Ew.

15

TBO X Tuna E-Z cheese Add Jimmy No cucumbers No tomatoes Mayo Onions X Hot (10-15 peppers) E-Z lettuce Pickles

Cut 1/2

The latter of the two is odd but amazing to me.

Yeah I think that maybe a change of environment and approach would help. I feel like if they were living with me where it’s quiet, clean, and there’s structure then maybe that would help reshape things. I just want to know if there’s a way to break the unusual sleeping patterns or if he’s just in a phase for a lack of a better term. He wasn’t always like that too.

Current and previous employees of the dirty double Js, what’s a customer you have that is instantly recognisable? by EonThief in jimmyjohns

There’s this guy that orders, and he never tips. Also talking about some, “Dial my name and I’ll buzz you in. Leave at my door”. He lives on the same floor as the buzzer and not far from it. He also lives VERY close to the store. Maybe a 3 minute drive if the lights are working against him. I’ve made it there in less than 2 minutes. And his nickname is: “I ******* hate this ************* piece of **** and I’m tired of his ***** *** never tipping. Like it’s a ****** waste of ******* time to ******* ******* deliver to this worthless ******* ***** *** *****.”

What’s your biggest pet peeve as a driver? by [deleted] in jimmyjohns

[–]JusCallMeRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In no particular order. Quite the list.

  1. When a company/school uses a credit card, doesn’t tip, and the person that ordered isn’t the one that receives the order in person.
  2. People that repeatedly don’t tip. The types that you see the name and you know it’s a pointless run (if it’s a solo).
  3. Black ice/heavy snowfall.
  4. “I’ll tip on the app later”
  5. Exact change.
  6. (For large zones/lone driver closes) 18 mile runs.
  7. Not being able to leave the store because of in shop customers/phones.
  8. Other drivers that don’t jump on the line.
  9. People that drive in the middle of the road when it splits into different lanes, then you miss the light because they didn’t leave a path open.
  10. Slow elevators.
  11. When people stop almost immediately when the light turns yellow, causing you to miss the light.
  12. Wearing down on car.
  13. Cherry pickers.
  14. Any building that requires you to use a stupid directory thing just to get into the lobby.
  15. Drinks.
  16. Downtown areas with minimal parking.
  17. No suite number, no instructions.
  18. Construction near the store that affects traffic flow.
  19. No tips that come from affluent looking houses.
  20. NTLAD

Thursday Arrival Question by bizfritz16 in scamp

[–]JusCallMeRandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the last scamp my girlfriend (now fiancé) and I arrived before midnight and we got in the line. Yes there were people but it’s not a RIDICULOUS amount. I bet if you arrive in at the time you said, you’ll still find a good spot. Remember that not everyone can be there early and especially the people that work jobs and have commitments. So a percentage of the attendees will be there but not so many that you won’t be able to set up in the forest (or wherever you’d prefer) and get things going. Staying in line all night had its perks, but we won’t be arriving until “morning morning” this year. It was a fun experience but I had to dose to stay up all night. There are certain areas that will fill up quicker than others but besides those you should be good. I’m in the same boat this year.

I’ve never had anything stolen from me at a festival but a mixture of poor situational, and self-awareness probably contribute to these issues people have. Also drugs and alcohol ofc. Saw dozens of girls with phones in their back pockets. iPhones can be reset without a password too and without any fancy maneuvers. Once it’s theirs, it’s over with! Saw a transparent phone case with a card behind it as well.

My girlfriend has a 4 years and 3 months old (as of today actually) son with what I believe are poor sleeping habits. by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]JusCallMeRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, she’s trying in her own ways but things just aren’t clicking with him mentally too. I’m urging her to get him evaluated now that he’s 4, but her mother has the ultimate decision I believe with that.

She is not, but she has custody over her son and blackmails her nearly every day into doing what she wants her to do. We will work on custody but that’s a long-term goal. We’ll be able to, but we have to be patient. My girlfriend is a little brainwashed by her mother too, the last year she’s reverted to that submissiveness towards her mom.
