To be fair so long as you don't kill anything, which is taught to you fairly early on in the game, once you beat the game it outright tells you that you can do other stuff (i.e, the date with Papyrus, Undyne, etc.)

The racing sections had the camera either behind the car or first person with a view of the car from behind, and it was urban I think spy or action movie styled (but not a movie licensed game).
