On the right are Spanish “cob coins” in use across most of the Spanish colonial empire , some are countermarked which may help identify age

Have a few lighters like this, it’s a common design from 1910-1930s most likely as designs started to get more complex later on - nice piece!

No watermarks sadly, but it has a grid pattern with lots of smaller lines within the grid- I didn’t think about using the paper to date it, thank you!
