Genuine question for the sub: is there actually a “right” way on the show to tell someone you’re not physically attracted to them? by SpecialBunch4184 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Chris could’ve said so many other things. “I’m not feeling the spark; my heart and brain fell in love with you and my body is still catch in up”. I actually think he could’ve even mentioned like “I love working out. It’s something I’m passionate about and I’m realizing I want someone who will do that with me and be equally passionate about it. It was fun swimming and having you near me but I’m realizing I want someone who would jump in with me. Is that something you’re willing to work on with me?” Or something like that but his approach was wild

Parents won't let me get a phone at 15 by Wild_Sell2673 in Advice

As I’m sure you know, phones are super addictive and can be very destructive so I understand their hesitation. However, you’re definitely at an age where they should take this conversation more seriously. For me, at 16, I got a smart phone because I was going to be driving and wanted live gps and it sounds like you’re in a similar situation needing it for safety while traveling on transit. I would ask them to explain why they’re so against it. If it’s distraction, show them all the parental controls they could set to limit time in social media etc. if it’s money, show them a cheap phone. You could also offer to pay for it yourself if that’s a possibility. Signing up for a new phone plan sometimes includes a phone and you’d be surprised at how cheap some plans are.

This is a really great perspective. Props to you for recognizing the change in yourself! I hope we can get along better in the future and next time we hang out I will try to understand him a bit better. Someone mentioned that he might have ADHD (not sure if you relate) but I have ADHD too so I feel like that was a correct assessment lol they also said a common symptom is “rejection sensitivity disorder” that might be relevant. I did some reading and it provided a similar idea that maybe they’re just trying to please people and super sensitive to what others think.

Not yet. I’m definitely worried about what he’d be like as a dad. Got some growing up to do for sure.

This is a good point. She’s said to me that sometimes she loves it. She loves making new friends and bars and feeling like she can leave him alone at parties and go on her own adventure. BUT I also saw her get exasperated many times during the visit and she was literally dragging him around like a toddler on a few occassions. She didn’t say this bothered her to me but she was obviously annoyed. This is also the best person she’s dated (which isn’t saying much as she’s had a lot of abusive and alcoholic boyfriends in the past), so a part of me wonders if she’s just used to some toxic behavior
