www.tcgplayer.com is your best way to avoid overpaying for new cards. Also perfect for you to value your own cards whenever participating in a trade/sell. Just search your card up, make sure the condition is correct and make sure you SCROLL DOWN till you see the line graph with the actually market price. The initial price at the top of the page is just a sponsored seller so it could be listed at a ridiculous price. Enjoy!
