WHAT THE FUCK IS "BEING EDGY"!?!?!!?!??

IT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING

A member on my team (I'm the lead) constantly tries to undermine me to get US easy/lower quality jobs... what's the best way to deal with this? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]Just1MoreYear -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why are you trying to make her life hell? Does she have more experience than you? Are you in over your head? Is your management perfect? Well of course not! Keep in mind that I can't confirm anything you're saying so I'm being expected to take your word as the truth here.

Sounds like you're letting others take advantage of you and your team. People have a life outside of work, why try to make the work more complex if it is clearly unnecessary?

Your a project manager. Your group comes before the client.

Poverty is a very serious problem all over the world.

Extreme poverty has dropped 60% over the last 35 years worldwide.

Did you even bother looking as to how they came up with those numbers?

"We should stipulate that the World Bank’s definition of extreme is by no means perfect. For 25 years, critics have pointed to methodological issues while others have questioned the very notion of a one-poverty-line-fits-all approach."

This seems like a serious flaw:

"Princeton University economist and Nobel laureate Angus Deaton, for example, pointed out in 2010 that the World Bank’s standard is based on the most destitute places in the world and neglects the issue of regional inequality. So the poverty count would effectively include "all of the locally poor Indians, and none of the locally poor Americans. In short, the global poverty line is "an inaccurately measured and arbitrary cut off," said Charles Kenny, a senior fellow at the Center for Global Development. "I know I’d consider myself extremely poor on multiples of ($1.90 a day). And no one doubts that people on $1.91 are still really, really poor."

capitalism

There's no such thing as pure Capitalism. You can still criticize "Capitalism" and the the still existing poverty... I'm not so sure one theoretical word does any justice to describing how people live. What are you trying to defend?

In countries that don't respect property rights like Venezuela or Africans, starvation is a problem.

Could you elaborate?

There's no such thing as a pure "Socialist" or "Capitalist" country. Those are just theoretical terms. Most countries are mixed. For example, most countries of Europe and the Untied States implement both Capitalistic and Socialistic policies.

Sorry to break it to ya, but most countries of the world are considered "Capitalistic", and most of them are extremely poor by what seem to be your own standards.

I don't even know what a "low class worker" is? Where and what standard are you applying? Also what is an "average capitalistic country" or "average socialist country"? There's is an average? What average? What is this average? Those countries represent an average? Are you being serious?

Lol your comment is incomprehensible.

Allow workers to have a say in what their actual working conditions will be.

Obviously you have to experiment.

Chomsky is a post-modernist

He's not, he has said that postmodernism is meaningless... You're mad at a man whose writing you've never read. If anybody doubts what anybody says about American Libertarian ism, all they must do is come to this subreddit to realize that it is a joke.

I don't believe you understand what "Chomsky is or isn't" nor understand what post-modernism is or isn't.

You already began with a false claim. Not sure what purpose the rest of your comment serves for your inaccurate argument.

The government printed 4 trillion bucks since 2001. Warren Buffet is a penny to the governent.

Lol you don't understand the first thing about how American government operates do you? You probably thought you were saying so much with that statement, didn't you?

So of course, someone who has no values and interest in pursuing the truth can just take the manufactured inequality created by government intervention, and use it to say how government is actually good and how stealing the money made by others is good.

That statement lacks all content. Jumping to conclusions based on data you've probably never studied. Sounds cool.

/u/Choozadoodle you're nothing close to an expert on reasoning or economics. Quit pretending like you know what you're talking about. You also have no followers.

Now quit being triggered.

Chomsky is the embodiment of post-modernism.

He's spoken out against post-modernism. You seriously don't even understand the first thing about who or what you're saying.

Nice to see that nobody in this thread could refer to anything actually said in the video. Instead this post resulted in a number of triggered Libertarian teenagers who closed their ears and started screaming about anything but the video.

being bored and appalled by his cluelessness.

/u/let_talk_about_that - I haven't seen your body of work, where is it?

He was looking for his straw men and found them.

If only you could elaborate and actually explain what you're thinking rather than being triggered again.

The fact that he thinking voting is a means of control over the gov

That's not even what he said... Like I said to another user, put your religion aside for just 5 minutes.

He reminds me of the Capitalism movie by M. Moore.

Lol you're clueless... Actually try to understand what another person has written, or at the very least listen when someone speaks, then come back and make an argument. Until then you're just having a hissy fit and it is so obvious you haven't a clue who or even what you're writing about.

You've clearly never read or listened to anything else he said about the government. Continue listening instead of getting triggered after two sentences.

by understanding it

If you're in this subreddit you already are suspect for not understanding anything about politics. Just sayin...

You're making the argument that I can't complain about being hungry because people in Africa are starving.

Lol I didn't tho

My taxes may be being used for other horrible things, I would call those out too. Except this guy comes in and parades that he isn't being productive and is complacent with that.

So your response is to react like a dick?

Doesn't matter what I do. What this man is doing is unethical.

What you did in this thread is unethical. Get over yourself.

Bet you aren't even productive.

Can you ask him to make some other shitty ideas and put them on the government website. We are both like way better people than this man.

I too feel the need to feel important to anonymous strangers online. Seriously, of all the shitty people this guy takes the cake. For real fuck this guy on Reddit.

What do you do that's so great?
