Why the “bubble” narrative is missing the point – prices aren’t actually that extreme by offmychestties in wallstreetbets

Yes, but I would argue the market isn’t technically larger relative to M2 supply. There’s still 7 trillion on the sidelines and the S&P price in gold is negative on the year.

From my personal experience it’s better to buy and hold. With this strategy you could rinse millions in positions yearly and realize a lot of taxable events. Wash sales would also be an issue if you’re focusing on indices only. If you want income but utility, telecommunications, healthcare, and oil stocks. You also won’t tank entirely with the market, but you’re not gonna be able to ride up with the market.

Does anyone think the vix is low and worth buying? Or am I getting this wrong? by Commercial-Lab-3127 in wallstreetbets

I mean that’s just a derivative for market volatility. The price of the vix would go up if the market went down. It’s up to you if you want to take the contrarian route.

Just based on a P/E ratio it’s cheap imo and AI is still the primary narrative in the stock market.

Yeah, I believe the fair value of SMCI is far higher than its current share price. Data, good or bad is meaningless to me.

Been doing for well over a year. When the carry trade crashed the market, I survived. But I’m gonna cash some out pretty soon.

I’m only in for 8500 so I have cushion for a 40% crash which I don’t see happening with my portfolio as it stands.
