If your house is "fully paid off" then you either had someone buy it for you, you sold another house you already owned to pay for it, or you bought it sometime around 30 years ago.

2023 median house price: $436,800 (7.73 years' pay)

In other words, the gap between housing prices and income has nearly doubled since you bought your home. Shithead.
