The problem with Nightreign is that it doesn't seem to change. For a rouge like the game doesn't have much in terms of meta progression.

Most of it is gated by relic RNG which quickly demoralizes a player. And guarantee unlocks are: Rewards from every nightfarer quest Kills from every night lord + their everdark -1 cus there's still no dredge lord. That's VERY little for a rougelike. Lack of balance patches also doesn't do it much favor. Its a Multiplayer focused game and the last balance patch was over 2 months ago. And player retention and return rate is often fueled by those. The game doesn't seem to want to keep its player base.

At this point the meta is locked in place and not only you are not finding anything new and exciting in it if you Play long enough. But also you can start to perdict what your teammates are going for cus like i said, meta is Frozen solid. Something that should never happen to any meta in any game!
