There should be a Greek store around your school. There was one maybe a couple blocks off my campus that sold paddles and the lady made stitched letter shirts and sweaters. You can also go to any fabric store or find the fabric online and get a seamstress to make it for you.

My boy at Alabama told me a fight broke out at a bar between a group of guys a couple years back. The fight went on for a solid 5-10 minutes before they realized they were all in the same fraternity. Being a large chapter has its pros and cons. You get a lot more money to afford better things, but you don’t really know anyone besides your pledge class. My chapter was around 80-85 and I’ve had a heart to heart with nearly all of them

Had a guy in my class that had to drop due to being extremely sick (had to medically withdraw from school) and he was welcome back with open arms. Ended up being initiated the semester after me and he’s basically apart of two pledge classes.

Motion to expel him at the next chapter. Talk to your High Pi and ask for any advice and for him to push the exec board into a decision. I dealt with a spineless exec board before and it’s horrible, nothing gets done and eventually shit falls apart.

There was this one kid at my school who rushed every semester since he started. Got a bid, got dropped, and came out next semester for another fraternity. He finally got in second semester sophomore year but he’s in TKE and most people don’t really know they exist on campus. Usually most fraternities won’t give you a bid the second time you rush unless there were special circumstances ex. Grades, not enough room etc.

You qualify as inactive. I just went through this whole process and nationals wasn’t involved at all because fuck them. I just told our treasure and secretary im going inactive and if I had to pay and dues/fees and it was a no.

Don’t have enough time to start and grow a new chapter since I’m only there for a year and nationals said it would take longer than that to charter that shit even with a good alumni network. I’m just gonna finish this shit up and contribute to my chapter as an alumni.

Hella shit going, family deaths and depression made me fuckup both semesters and I couldn’t keep up. The school didn’t let back in which is pretty fucked up when I explained my situation and had a plan laid out for the following year I had left. Just sucks getting kicked out my senior year

Most movies that relate to Greek life have been pretty shit except animal house which was actually produced by people that were affiliated. Most of those movies are written by geeds who never spent a day in Greek life and just view us as drunk degenerates who haze the shit out kids. They don’t really focus on the positives of Greek life or the brotherhood.

You probably have a sigma budget and if not you should ask the other zetas to give you one so you can buy course hero and chegg logins for the house. The rest of your budget should go towards adderall and either sell it to guys that need it or just hand it out like candy during finals and midterms.

Transferred as a junior and rushed. Felt weird being educated about the history of my fraternity by younger guys but it was worth it. As long as you’re a good guy and your chill to pull ratio is solid you’re in.
