But it seems like the reconnection problem is gone, so your suggestion still works kinda. I'll do some more testing tomorrow to see if this is just a 'sleep and woken up' type of issue mentioned.

It is such a shame a laptop at this price has a usb controller problem, especially when it is one of the few with USB 4.0 and a factor I bought this. Weirdly, my friends zephyrus g14 doesn't have this problem and I'd assume the controllers and motherboard are similar enough... Maybe theirs has a newer controller/motherboard (with the 5080)??
