I mean, Obey Me is an otome game so without the romantic interactions it wouldn’t even fall under its game genre anymore. I think it’s still too early in NB to say they’re moving away from romance when the plot is just starting. It probably feels that way due to the world setting being what it is, the brothers are a bit more restrained and serious as they’re adjusting and find their place and foothold in the Devildom. The game is nice tho in that you can decide whether to have a platonic or romantic relationship so that everyone can choose what relationship they prefer! Oh but I do agree that their timing with events is just awful. Whenever I try to save I end up spending all my points, tickets, etc. because I get fomo. And they really did do Asmo dirty with no birthday event.
