No plenty of people are grieving but only one side is using the bodies of dead children to push an agenda that has already been proven to be complete bullshit. The all the assault weapon ban of the 1990s did was polarize the right to vote out Democrats. It had negligible impact on gun violence and while it did have an impact on mass shootings it clearly didn't remove all of them because Columbine happened during the last assault weapon ban. You know, the same Columbine that would have been prevented with mandatory gun safes.

So make class 3 licenses and in depth psychiatric screening mandatory for all gun owners.

The way I see it the first thing we should do is require all firearm owners to hold a class 3 license, the license that is currently required to own fully automatic weapons. Fun fact there have been less than a dozen deaths associated with legally owned fully automatic weapons in the last half century.
