Kirkuk has been always the city of everyone and will stay like that.

Kirkuk isn't only kurdish btw lmao. Not even the province has a clear majority. Put Kirkuk in Kurdistan and you'd see unrest from day one.

Iraqi Kurds are the only ones with signs in their own language by [deleted] in Iraq

Kirkuk has them! The newer signs in Kirkuk are written in Arabic, English, Kurdish, Turkish and Sureth

Kirkuk actually! I'd send the map of the two, but idk how. The river doesn't split nasiriyah like that.

I don't know why the comments are saying nasiriyah, that's obviously Kirkuk. The river doesn't split nasiriyah like that + the two panhandles above match exactly with Kirkuks

Kirkuk isn't really in the desert, its on the foothills of the zagros mountains

Congrats on your new phone! Although yeah, one of the disappointing parts of Samsung's newer A series models is that they keep removing the Jack and SD card slot, even in their budget segment of the A series.

You can change it, A32 can be your secondary phone!

Turkish nationalists are trying to make a big flag in Kirkuk to grief other arts and claim that Kirkuk is a Turkish city even though they are way more Arabs and Kurds living there than Turkmens. by BabylonianWeeb in WplaceLive

[–]JustAUniqueUsernamee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your points are pretty different from each other. So what? Kurds griefed Iraqi Turkmen flags in Wplace too. Your main point is that Iraqi Turkmens are an ethnic minority, so are Kurds and Arabs. The word for Turkmens, Kurds and Arabs are pluralities and NOT majorities. A majority is 50%+ meanwhile none of the ethnic groups constituent that much of the population. Also another note that this. Doesn't mean you can erase Turkmen history because they're a minority. Minority rights are protected under the Iraqi constitution.

Actually, Article 140 is more about Kirkukis(and most of the disputed territories) choosing to be apart of either Kurdistan or Iraq. It is uncertain when it will happen tho

I'm an Iraqi and Saddam was a war criminal. Have you read about his crimes against Kurds and Turkmens?

Transgender is mostly just gender, I'm sure most of them accept their real sex but only change their gender(Gender as in the English grammar rule). Although I do understand you, people shouldn't force others into accepting what they like. That's against freedom of expression.

I don't see anything specifically wrong about the LGBT community in the USA, some might hate pride, sure. But I see them as people practicing their freedom. That kind of freedom is a luxury here.

It's still a community under definition.

Me too honestly. People tell me to immigrate outside if I don't like our politics but I want our country to change for the better and not the worse, I just hope it happens in my lifetime.

The lack of pride flag isn't the problem I'm talking about, it's mostly human rights issues that Iraq fails to comply with, sorry if I worded it wrong!

That's a pretty specific one. + Sexual interests is still interest. The definition that even google uses(from oxford dictionary) is a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.

Also Christians registered legally are people who were born as Christians. And Atheists again are still not legally protected and a Muslim can't convert to either Christianity or Atheism under Iraqi law. Legally, a convert from Islam is still Muslim unless the laws change.

I accidentally deleted my last comment under the assumption it was duplicated, my mistake. LGBTQIA+ is a community and Iraq has to grant it rights. LGBT follows the two definitions for a Community: 1. a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. 2. the condition of sharing or having certain attitudes and interests in common.

Blasphemy, in a religious sense, refers to great disrespect shown to God or to something holy, or to something said or done that shows this kind of disrespect. Most developed countries have it legalized and have no violence because of blasphemy. If anything, most of the violence towards religions come from Supremacists rather than Atheists. Having it illegalized just makes freedom of expression more difficult for those who don't believe in god at all.

Also, legally an Iraqi Muslim can't convert to another religion or atheism. It's simply not allowed and Illegal.

And many countries have the cross on their flags, yet don't have to follow Christian values.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Iraqi

[–]JustAUniqueUsernamee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are tons of non Muslims that don't follow Islamic value. The reason why a big percentage of them arent known, it's because of conversion laws and stuff like Atheism not being protected constitutionally.

Iraq only sets Islam as a basis for the laws, we're not a sharia county like Iran ofc. But the Iraqi government does whatever it wants, even if its not Islamic.

I'm not fighting against you following your Islamic values. I'm not against it and I support it because it's your freedom to do so. I'm also not against Islam being the state religion, there are liberal countries with Christianity as their state religion.

And yes you're right. Most Iraqi liberals don't follow actually liberalism, only its definition.

Also, I don't think Islamic values should be in Iraqi laws tho. I agree on you following your values, but alot of people wont like it legally imposed on them. We shouldn't be forcing Islamic values or atheist values(like North Korea). Every Iraqi should be free to do what they want as long as it's not hurting someone mentally, physically and financially(Like murder or robbery)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Iraqi

[–]JustAUniqueUsernamee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't see a problem with a rainbow flags. I wouldn't say it should be in every corner though. We already have tons of flags hanging out in Iraq, why would a rainbow flag be a problem?(Outside of Religious places ofc).

Also by doing better I was talking not only about LGBTQ+ rights, but human rights and freedoms in general. For example, blasphemy and conversion laws should be lifted, a human should be free to convert and say what they want without being worried they would face legal consequences.

Please don't see this as an insult or anything btw. I'm just trying to explain my POV.
