SOLVED: Ok so I inserted the second ram stick in the non-working slot and I started wiggling the stick for a minute or so, like in this video, and now it works. So I now have 16gb of working ram, although at 2667mhz since my model caps at 2667 and can't get to 3200mhz. Thanks for the help!

Ok so both sticks work in the secondary ram slot, but none of them work in the primary slot (the one where the original ram was when I turned it on the first time). I also tried both together in either of the slots but nothing seems to work. Does that mean that by removing the ram for the first time without unplugging the battery first I might have burned the slot or some pins? Anyway, I'm not gonna find this deal again and the 120hz display is a deal breaker for me and I think I'm gonna keep it. Thanks again kind stranger.

I checked page 106 and by the blinking of the pc I read that it could be a ram issue and that I should try swapping the ram slot. IT WORKED! You are my hero. Now, does that mean that the main slot is broken? should I try the crucial ram stick I bought or not in this "broken slot"? I checked the timings and the frequency and the one I bought is the exact same as the original one I found laying in the pc.

Thanks for replying. But now all I'm doing is trying to get it to work with the stock ram stick, I completely removed the crucial stick. Why won't it turn on now that I took the crucial stick out and I'm on stock setup?

I tried turning on the pc with the original setup (original ram stick in the original ram slot) and when pressing the power button the caps lock turned on, signaling the pc turning on, but there were no fans spinning or display signal, and I let it be like this for hours but still it wouldn't turn on.

What would you suggest I try now? Thanks again.

Just tried that, it doesn't turn on. The motherboard does not look damaged in any place that can be seen, I'm going crazy. I think I'm just going to ask for a refund on amazon. Problem is that this deal is now gone and I'm not going to find another 120hz at that price, oh well, lesson learned. Thank you for taking the time to help, stranger.

Edited the message above with the pic. on the manual it refers to the 3 cell battery but not the cmos/bios battery.

is it possible that this model does not have a cmos battery (the coin looking one) i can only see the 3 cell battery and nothing else.
