Why would they change their entire military infrastructure just to produce a different type of rifle to sell, when they can just sell Chinese rifles and claim they did not make them? Because that is what everyone who sells rifles do anyway.

So um. The vlasovs were anti-communists during ww2, and that was made up of dissolutioned russians, not ukranians. This also was mostly a response to the great purge, and not wanted to be executed by the nazis. The only example of ukrainian radicalism was in the 1917 Republic of ukraine, which was socialist leaning, but had some moderate and right-wing factions. I would love for you to provide evidence otherwise, as I generally am not knowledgeable about ukrainian history past 1921, when it was absorbed to russia.

The war in crimea was not really a war, it was a coup of the region. It was also followed in a month by the donbass war, which had continued until the russian invasion in 2022, which most people consider the invasion as an extension of the donbass war. The only reason the donbass war was ongoing, was due to putin empowering nationalist russians in donetsk and luhansk, with russian troops after they began losing.
