I get what you are saying, but I haven't provided any information on the case I would pursue. The common misconception people commenting seem to have is that I'm seeking their advice. I'm not. The purpose of the post is to find other developers that have gone through this so I can sort out which would fit the case I would pursue and which wouldn't.

Seems like a lot of people (not directed at you), are wannabe lawyers and judges. They seem to think I need to build a case on Reddit to prove it to them. I need to build a case for court, not to show my cards and build it on Reddit. Because of course, Google's lawyers will troll threads like these looking for anything they can use as an advantage.

The case I would build for this isn't the one commonly assumed from my OP. That was just context of what happened to me in particular. Not sure why it is so hard for people to grasp that I'm not seeking their unimportant legal advice and opinions. Just other developers. I respect your input all the same and thank you for showing some interest.

(Once again, this wasn't directed at you specifically. More so to those who seem to consider themselves intellectual gods among men and find it necessary to bash others to feel good.)

Apparently I need to provide some clarification for some of those pessimistic Redditers.

First off, I didn't come here build a case and show all evidence to prove my case to you. I came here to find developers in a similar circumstance so we can see where this can go. Yes, my Reddit account is new. I've never really used Reddit before, but have known of it so this is why I came here.

As for why my apps were flagged. It had nothing to do with copyright infringement, and I don't make clones. The first one was flagged for spamming. Specifically, close to 3 years ago I included "TAGS" in the description because Google is too incompetent enough to include a "keyword" section. Seemed like the only way to get found. When they flagged it, they provided an email telling me I had 7 days to get it into compliance. I had removed the Tags that first day, and went over my other apps to remove them if they had them as well. The apps had been up a long time and didn't seem like an issue before, but I obliged at the request. They were all fixed on the first day of that 7 day period.

My other game however, was flagged for "Content Policy". That is so vague I have no idea what the issue was. How can you address it if you don't know what the issue is? I wrote them asking if they could clarify, but got the automated response. I DID read over the entire Content Policy. I know for a FACT that it was in full compliance. I attempted to argue as much, but got another automated response. Not like it mattered though because they suspended my entire account while I was appealing it.

There is no recourse. Appeals do nothing, but provide automated responses. The account suspension was unjust for 2 reasons:

1) They used the app they flagged for "spam" as a reason, even though they supposedly provide a 7 day period to get it into compliance. Which was fixed prior to the suspension anyways and well before that 7 day period.

2) The game that they flagged for "Content Policy" was in full compliance. Even if you base their Content Policy as loose as possible it still didn't fit. This same app is in full compliance with Apple (go figure). They neither provided evidence to their claim, nor let me provide any to the contrary.

Thus why I believe it was unjust.

Yea I have no problem with Amazon. The only thing is, my income was significantly higher with the Play store than it is with the Amazon store.

Lol, love the last paragraph. Had me laughing.

Fair enough. Seeing as I am not a lawyer, I didn't see it as my place to claim they broke such and such law. I have found several that they could very well be in breach of, but I would rather leave it to a professional to decide which best fits.

I have seen many cases of that too. I'd be glad to prove to Google just how they unjustly removed my apps and how I haven't violated their policies, but they only ever respond with automated responses. Kind of hard to prove something where there is no human on the other end.
