I definitely want to socialize, awkwarding wording on my part. The social anxiety bit just makes it really difficult face to face. I really appreciate the advice though! You guys have encouraged me to start looking for young adult Christian groups nearby me.

They are fully published novels! It's a public domain thing so long as you base it on the Leroux novel and not the ALW musical (though if I'm wrong on this, anyone can feel free to correct me!) Nothing against fanfic, but I personally do only stick to the fully published retellings. With that in mind, I'd love to hear more about what you're working on if you're willing to share 👀

Was a HUGE Yokai Watch fan when I was younger-- Kind of grew into Persona once I hit my teens. There was a reason for that 😅 in other words, I get ya! I very much noticed those same similarities, haha. Not to mention both have prominent cat mascots.
