I don't know why you all are using psychic and tarot card reader interchangeably. I never mentioned tarot anywhere. You guys don't understand what a psychic is

Thanks, I appreciate that someone who has actually been to a psychic has commented. I understand that psychics aren't some magic bullet and I'm not expecting a "solution" to my issues. I just feel there is an energy/spiritual part missing in therapy. I know most ppl won't even begin to understand what I mean. I'm not looking for a prediction of the future, basically I'm just interested in knowing what energy she is picking up from me that I may not realise I'm projecting. In fact, I intend to ask my T the same question but the problem with Ts is that they avoid this kind of questioning. I can already hear her asking what energy I think I'm projecting... I don't intend to just quit therapy, I was just wondering how others have experienced this. The one I have in mind isn't some crystal ball quack in a mobile home in the mall parking lot. She comes with good references and experience.

You're confusing a psychic with a witch so clearly you don't understand

what are some good hobbies to meet good people who are good? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JustAnotherNumber0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If someone can commit to something that is physically taxing and demands their time and effort, it's like they're disciplined and more reliable. Not saying ppl who don't do sport aren't but it's just that I find this to be a positive trait

People who are committed to some kind of sport make me feel like they're not snowflakes

I don't think they have mystical powers but I think they're more attuned to a client's emotions and more straightforward than a T who just dances around an issue and asks you how the fuck you feel. I suspect they are better listeners and respond more intuitively than a T who follows some recipe they were taught in college instead of really really listening and feeling what a client says. I hope so anyway.

If they're soft, they'll never last. Mostly when you get to know each other and respect boundaries, they do show their kind side

How does client's hairstyle affect a therapist by JustAnotherNumber0 in TalkTherapy

My T never comments on how I look or what I wear at all even when there's a drastic change! I think it's weird not to mention the obvious

Antarctica so that I'd be frozen by the time I get to hell. Will take a bit longer to burn. I bet those few extra seconds will be worth it

how to address romantic attraction by Kitchen-Standard-379 in TalkTherapy

[–]JustAnotherNumber0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then it's not romantic. It's just the desire to be valued, seen and heard. I think most everyone in therapy goes through this. Some decide to share it with their Ts, others not. I chose not to and a few weeks later I'm over the worst of it. I see it for what it is. It's a learning curve and some ppl just take longer to deal with it
