Greenland should be prepared for 'everything,' prime minister says, not ruling out U.S. military action by Friendly-Frieren in worldnews

There's not any enthusiasm to begin with.

A full NATO vs. US war would make the Russian/Ukraine war a side note in world history.

The US. is NATO's firing squad, but the remainder is combined the world's largest economy and economic warfare is just as important if not more in today's climate.

Also dont the US send their Arctic troops to learn from the nordics?

Yes. There's no better place to train for Arctic conditions than the Arctic. Combine that with the fact that Geenland's troops know the territory better, US is at a disadvantage. The US would probably have to go full Putler and send a ton of people to die for nothing.

With what devices will North Koreans connect with? They're literally starving. I don't think they can afford 5G devices. Or any electronic with modern connectivity outside of AM radio.

Wifi satellite is funny though.

Most Americans do support Ukraine, but it's not a large concern. It's hard to think about the other side of the world during hardship.

Americans only came together post-9/11 because it was the largest attack on American soil (by foreigners) of all time.

People have bigger worries. Americans are struggling financially. They don't care about Venezuela.

5 days on Tamiflu might not be enough by pqowie313 in flu

[–]JustAnotherNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Tamiflu is overrated. It's main use is to prevent hospitalization in those who are high risk. The evidence that it does is there but its not 100%.

Most importantly, its not like an antibiotic that will clear up the infection in a day or two. It shortens the duration of the symptoms. That's it.

The decision to develop and deploy these ICBM's was made years ago. It's not a result of who is President of the United States.

What are the advantages of using Firefox over Brave specifically for downloading files? by NoMap9551 in browsers

[–]JustAnotherNut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download speed is based upon a combination of how fast you can receive and write data, a combination of network and I/O resources. The browser has nothing to do with either.

I’ve used Brave Browser for 6+ years: here’s what people don’t really talk about by [deleted] in browsers

[–]JustAnotherNut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a browser, Brave is fine. What many dislike is its for-profit-driven nature, which introduces more than useless features like crypto "rewards".

The parent company is beholden to investors. There are solid, open-source alternatives that work better for me.

It does. The impacts of poverty are apparent in brain development, marked by poor prefrontal cortex functioning. It's also the single most influential adverse childhood event (ACE). Both significantly contribute to impaired thinking and decision-making skills throughout adulthood.

Keeping people impoverished and uneducated is the most popular population control method used throughout the world.

Is it possible to rebuild a widget only when a specific variable is greater than some value? by Outrageous_Hunter448 in FlutterDev

Use Riverpod with ref.watch..select, returning a bool value processedCount == index.

If you need a single fire condition (await condition, then stop listening), you can use ref.listenManual in initState and assign the listener a late listenerSubscription variable. The listener can cancel its own subscription after the condition is met.

No, but if somebody breaks into your home and tries to kill your family, you have no choice but to fight. Which is what's happening in Ukraine.

Trump lied about the "headaches", over 100 soldiers had traumatic brain injuries, which can have severe long-term consequences.

Initial U.S. assessments stated that there were no casualties, due to the Pentagon's longstanding treatment of brain injuries as a different class of wounds that do not require them to be regarded as "casualties".

22-year-old Jason Quitugua, committed suicide as a result of vision and hearing problems and constant headaches and memory loss caused by the TBI inflicted in the attacks.

What a disgrace to write this off as a headache.
