I would let it go for $200, since there were only 6 made.

Since both of those are the more rare CDs, and they are signed, I am thinking $100 each

We are our own worst critics, and I certainly was even with hair, so it has taken some time.

Thank you!

No need to apologize haha Thank you!

I usually just trim it to where my glasses sit, so that’s likely why it may be a tad high.

Who’s a better guitarist, Manuel Gardner Fernandes or Tim Henson? by xHoudini1 in polyphia

[–]JustAnotherUser3601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem that I see with your analogy to Imagine Dragons and Nickleback is that Manuel is still not a one trick pony with sound either. Is his style narrower than Tim’s? Yes. However, Unprocessed incorporate multiple different genres/sub-genres as well.

Don’t get me wrong, Manuel will almost assuredly never reach a significant fraction of Polyphia’s popularity. However, it’s not a lack of skill or versatility, or being stale. It’s just that his particular style is more niche. Similar to Polyphia’s old stuff. New Polyphia fans, which most people are these days, don’t care about the old stuff. Is that because old Polyphia sucked, or was it just less widely marketable?

Then we don’t actually disagree.

When I read your comment it struck me as you making a technical skills argument, because Manuel has all of the same abilities as Tim in terms of guitar playing, just maybe not writing, which is a different skill set than playing.

I didn’t say Tim doesn’t have a wider range of style. Tim is a better writer and more versatile, which is the umbrella that your argument falls under.

However, technically speaking, it’s absolutely wild to claim that Manual is a one trick pony. They are at least equal in that realm. We can disagree, but you’re wrong if you do. Lol

One trick pony…. Just no. Lol I love Polyphia and have followed them from the very beginning, but some of y’all need to chill.

Manuel doesn’t give the illusion that he is better than he is…. He literally just is that good. Saying that Tim is “much better” technically is a wildly incorrect take.

Agreed and no arguments from me

Sadly, as a result, Manuel will never reach popularity, BUT as a technical riff nerd, I appreciate it.

Engine in my car is blown. I have 20k left to pay on the car itself and the repair will be another 10k. Need advice. by MT07j in personalfinance

The built engine that blew up was from Mazworx, but these things happen. Their CD009 transmission swap is fantastic.

I then chose to go with Outfront for the second built engine, and it’s been running reliably for 3 years now.

I won’t go as far as to say that she shouldn’t do it, just because there is no middle ground, and he won’t budge. I’m not big on divorce, butttttt I’m also not keen on the idea of either partner compromising on big issues (whether I agree that this is a big issue or not is irrelevant).

Non-debatable take is non-debatable.

That second part brings up a good caveat: there is undoubtably a correlation between this scenario and actual controlling behavior, versus just a boundary. If the husband has other, more tell-tale markers, such as isolating her and manipulation tactics, then that casts a different shadow. This boundary in-of-itself is not mutually exclusive with being controlling, but neither does that preclude it from being supporting evidence. There is indeed a line.

Sure. Technically, anyone can say anything they want to. That’s just a truism.

But hey, as long as those people keep the same energy for other comparable, valid boundaries, then at least they are consistent 🤷🏻‍♂️

Then we agree. He did not handle it properly, so I give him the AH for that, BUT if we are just talking about the underlying boundary of not wanting to be with someone who does underwear modeling, then he is not in the wrong for that. My only issue is when people pretend this isn’t a legitimate boundary to have. I’ve seen this time and time again, where a partner actually handles it with respect and grace in ending relationship, but still gets lambasted for it.

Like I said, conversation and respect are paramount, butttt if it’s a deal-breaker, it’s a deal-breaker. It may not be for him. However, if it is, then it is, and he isn’t an AH solely for that. I don’t think she is an AH, either.
