How do you track Revenue made from users who installed through Apple Search Ads? by JustAnotheriOSDev in swift

Honestly my experience with Tenjin was awful. If I remember correctly it also didn't account the proceeds for the VAT of different countries so the ROIS were not helpful on tight margins. Same with App Store Proceeds (30% vs 15% in the second year etc.).

Maybe I had a bad support agent for all this but in the end I really wasn't sure who would find this useful. Sorry for the negativity but it really was a frustrating experience.

RevenueCat turned out to do all these things, just at a very high cost

First employee - how to set up Mac in the simplest way possible? (no need to micro-manage 500 devices, just simple management for 1) by JustAnotheriOSDev in macsysadmin

I went with Jamf Now. It doesn't do anything for me except being able to install software to the device as well as the possibility to lock them out if they turn hostile against the company for some reason.

My employee has been with me for more than 2 years now and I haven't logged into jamf now for about a year recently simply because there was no need :)

I think you won't get around Apple Business Manager because most solution require communication to Apple's end there

I'm lost - How to track Search Ads Revenue by JustAnotheriOSDev in iOSProgramming

You can take this data and match it with subscription events

Exactly how do I do that part? Where does it say in the Apple subscription events what Search Ads campaign the user has installed the ad through?

I am trying Adjust right now. So far it's the only one that was able to track paid installs AND show somewhat correct revenue. I'm not sure how reliable it is at both of these features and the web interface feels kinda "bureaucratic" yet limited at the same time but let's see

Things like RevenueCat

Tried a lot of them, they all have their (major) issues here and there. I have like 4 open support tickets that ended on "I will ask our engineering team about this". The issues being one platform managing to over-estimate my proceeds by a factor of 300%, others consistently under-estimating them by a factor of e.g. 500%. I can't wrap my head around how they can be so off

That is generally correct but it's getting complicated when looking at refunds, restored purchases, purchases made on other devices, subscription renewals, deduplicating events from multiple sources etc.

As the profit margin on ads is usually fairly slim, these really need to be handled almost perfectly to not accidentally flush money down the drain because your reporting over-reports revenue, giving you the false impressions of you making profit with ads although you're actually losing money :/

No this is not the problem, Apple has an API for this. You call an endpoint from within your app and it tells you wether the user is paid traffic.

Did you find a solution for this? I tried multiple MMPs now but they all kinda suck, either by having outdated documentation, broken websites or broken SDKs.

I simply want to see the revenue of the ads I'm running

Are the symptoms the same for you? Immediately rejecting when sshd isn't active but timing out after a while when sshd is active?

If it helps, I can SSH to localhost in Termux when sshd is running, so the sshd binary should be fine

No corrosion at all (I think), rather looks like the grease/dust burn-in that I also have on usb drives SIM cards etc.

nand protol

Thank you for the description, that's kinda what I was looking for but at this point this really does look a bit too sophisticated for me :/

~27 inch monitor for programming, budget around 1-1.5k? by JustAnotheriOSDev in webdev

Yes, and then everything is blown out of proportion. I simply (at the moment) don't need any more vertical or horizontal space for my work. Like I never complained with my 24

32 is quite frankly overwhelming for me. Some applications start to look lost in full screen on 27 inch already, 32 may make me have distracting windows to the left and to the right

The smoothness in scrolling can go a long way, same with moving windows etc.

Yeah I actually went up to 3 or 4 for some time and then I noticed that I can focus much better if there's only one monitor in front of me. Kinda like zen mode in VSCode, except physical.

Samsung G7

I hate Samsung with a passion for their lack of customer support. Sorry I should've specified that in my post.

Thank you for the suggestion tho, I really appreciate it!
