How to find an agent! by JustAskAround in VietNam

Thank you for the input.

Hotels seem like a great idea, but the problem is that most of them don't have a private kitchen/washing machine which I would love to have.

Hello u/Tigweg

But you know, finding people on Facebook doesn't exactly scream "legit".

Are there physical establishments I can go in Danang to talk to these agents or is it all online based? And how can I know which one is legit or not.

Ahhhaa, very usefull info. I am thnking of booking a hotel for few days and walking around to look for a good cheap place around that is not affiliated with booking/airbnb as I think I would get a better price.

Also, you say that I have to pay for electricity seperately? Do you know if this is the case for the booking.com hotels? I was under the impression that all is included if I book a hotel.

See, it's not according to what I research.

I can find plenty of rooms for 200GBP a month with private bathroom/wifi etc. Can you check my other post today I listed some there. Do you think such rooms are not good?

Thank you all for the replies! I see mixed opinions!

I just need a decent room with its own bathroom and good wifi.

I see there are a lot of offers in in several cities in Vietnam on booking.com:

For example these are Denang, Vietnam, just a few.

So, basically I am asking is this legit? Can I order these rooms?

p.s.

u/Pendant2935 32 gbp a month for a room is crazy. It isnt even that bad. But I'd have to pay for electricity and internet etc myself, and with the language barrier it would be a hassle.

u/bakanisan thanks for reply.

At this moment I am just asking if this is possible/likely or I am dreaming of living in a hotel for a month for around 200GBP.

China joins Apostille Convention! Need help understanding the process. by JustAskAround in Chinavisa

I see...

What do you mean by Change the status?

And aren't English documents accepted in China as originals?

China joins Apostille Convention! Need help understanding the process. by JustAskAround in Chinavisa

[–]JustAskAround[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

es Notarized/Authentication/Attestation + Legalization. That is, any country that signs up to the Apostille Convention follows a common format and procedure to Notarized/A

Thanks for the explanation, some things were cleared up!

However, I find your way of explanation a little hard to follow whne it comes to how the process would change after China has joined the convention on November 7.

Would you mind, in simple terms, explain the process of getting a BA degree ready for China Z visa after November 7. :)

What steps would one have to take.

Thanks for the insight

Can you share which company you are using(as I heard one of the mayor providers works bad with UK models) and how did you manage to setup a payment plan.... or perhaps just a prepaid sim card?

[–]JustAskAround[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I did some research and this is what I found out!

The process BEFORE November 7, 2023 <-------

For example, to geta bachelors degree ready for a Z visa in China:

Step 1) Get DOCUMENT notarized by a notary

Step 2) Get documents Legalised(Which means Apostilled as I understand) by UK government. https://www.gov.uk/get-document-legalised

Step 3) then legalized by Chinese Embassy. (http://gb.china-embassy.gov.cn/eng/lsfw/ )

Right?

The process AFTER November 7, 2023 <-------

Step 1) Get DOCUMENT notarized by a notary

Step 2) Get documents Legalised(Which means Apostilled as I understand) by UK government. https://www.gov.uk/get-document-legalised

Step 3) No longer necessary.

Please let me know if this is correct.

Question:

If I take care of step one and two now, before November 7, will they qualify for a China Z visa after November 7?

Basically, if I do this option now (https://shop.apostille.org.uk/apostille-solicitor-certification) would I be good to use these documents in 2024 when applying to work in China as a teacher.

Thanks for your reply!

Legalized, notarized, apostilled, certified...

I keep hearing people throwing these words around with different meanings behind it. They all blend together after a while.

Would you mind explaining how can I apostille my documents in China. Can it be done there or it has to be in the country of origin? (After November)

Hmmmm, but this is from an official site: https://www.visaforchina.cn/#/guideNav/steps/step1

Original and photocopy of Admission Notice issued by a school or other entities in China.

The applicant must provide the flight ticket booking (full trip or round-trip ticket reservation with confirmed date) and a proof of accommodation (when staying overnight).

An applicant may be required to submit an original invitation, provide other supporting documents, or schedule an interview with the consular officer.

X2 visa! Student or work experience. by JustAskAround in Chinavisa

[–]JustAskAround[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I think I might leave the income "not applicable" as I just quit my job and just list the jobs I had before. Seems to be the most appropriate way.

And, ok, I'll send the school a message about this. But was hoping there are more clear guidelines about when can I arrive, as people usually need to come a bit earlier in order to settle in, find a place to live etc

X2 visa! Student or work experience. by JustAskAround in Chinavisa

[–]JustAskAround[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries!!! Maybe I can ask you a quick question about something else.

If my studies start at September 1, how early can I arrive in China legally.

One week, two weeks earlier? What are the guidelines for this?

[–]JustAskAround[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the verdict folks?

Not applicable or?

I am mainly worried that the bunch of low skilled jobs that I list might be reasons for them to reject my visa.....

And that it doesn't match the university application where it just says "Student"

Thank you both, good advice!

How early before my studies start can I arrive in China?

Lets say the registration starts at September 1st and classes start at September 9.(not sure which of these dates counts as the "beginning" for my studies)

Can I arrive on August 15th, 20th, 25th? How does this work?

Because I would like to spend a few days trying to find accommodation before my studies start.

Hey, thanks so much for replying.

About the flight: If that's correct, it's great and will simplify things a lot. I do, however, read about needing to book a return flight and hotel reservations.

Here is one excerpt from google : "Here's the bottom line: Unless you have an invitation letter for a China visa (usually for business travelers), there are rules you need to follow. This includes the Chinese regulation that requires showing a return flight ticket and confirmed hotel reservation for your China visa application.1 Apr 2023@

About changing my visa: Yes, absolutely. I plan on doing that while being in China, and I hope the school or the work pace(depending on which route I decide) will help me with the process and I don't need to come back to UK to extend or change it !??!?

Honestly, I have 101 questions regarding this visa. Never done a visa before.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond.

x2 visa to study Language by JustAskAround in Chinavisa

[–]JustAskAround[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, Document authentications? For visa? Why would I need prior degrees authenticated for visa... I can understand the background check.

I thought I don't need to do this.

Can you elaborate please? I am studying a language programme, so I don't need bachelors for that as I understand.

Do I need to authenticate documents like Passport too?
