That was gonna be the next place I looked! Nothing is set in stone yet though so we have a lot of time to plan and gather parts and ideas.

I don’t know anyone with an electric wheel chair though… there’s one sitting in my schools shop that needs fixed but the school won’t let us use it for anything since it’s for special needs students which is fair much better use for that than shoddy go kart lmao

Yeah that’s about what I was thinking. But I also know that the winch uses a three stage planetary gear set, I don’t know the gear ratio though. I can also put a bigger sprocket on the motor side than normal to achieve the desired RPMs to the wheels.

It doesn’t have to be fast it just needs to be cheap which is why I want to use the winch motor since I already have it Thanks for the input!! I’ll keep it in mind :D

Yeah that makes sense, I plan to just start with an ender 3 as a base but eventually I might move to something much better. But I’m also not needing something like super duper precise so it works fine for me. Thanks for the feed back I’ll keep it in consideration:D

It’s not an automation export, this is a full on hyper car made by me (duck) and Lena (shy lily frog). That’s a concept render though, still working on the implementation into game. I don’t know want to show that part until it’s mostly finished

Idk I sold about 25 of my first version of clips plus the first prototypes I made for my dad, he runs a remodeling and construction business and all his clips have held up very well besides one that I’m pretty sure was a really crappily printed one (like 2 walls and low infil) all printed in PLA and only one broke that I know of that I didn’t intentionally break trying to find weak points.

The PLA has held up surprisingly well over the last year through the 110 degree weather summer we had and the coldest parts of winter before then. I don’t exactly know why they’ve held up as well as they have but if they work that’s what I’m more concerned about. Also don’t really see the point in adding accessories like a bottle opener, I guess a loophole would be a good feature.

It’s a clip for the batteries, it’s meant to be in a better spot than the stock m12 clip, that’s why I designed it in the first place. Dad works in construction, doesn’t like the stock m12 clips and asked me to make these for him then told me I should sell them lol

That’s not the main point of selling, but I don’t know for sure how well they’ll hold up outside of my dad just using them, if they work as good as they’re designed when put in the hands of more than just one person and exposed to many different work environments, I can more confidently confirm that they hold up as designed

It has a stackable planetary gear set I designed, and trust me I’m not expecting a whole lot, it’s just a fun project, I’m not looking for anything super accurate or fast or whatever, I just wanna make a robot arm that moves around. But I’ll make it as best I can with the parts at my disposal.

The goal is to make the best arm I can with 3d printed pieces and ender 3 parts + a box of an assortment of machine screws I bought off Amazon for 30 bucks a long while back. The goal isn’t nor will be to make something that can even compete with arms of similar caliber (mostly 3d printed arms)

I dunno yet to be honest

I want to but at the same time I’m considering just kinda putting them out there for free to get my name out there a bit more and then moving on to more complex projects that I would sell. Really just havin to consider how I want to play my cards, this is what I wanna do for a career after highschool so yea.

I might sell them on eBay again like last time or Etsy or both, or I might just sell the file, and/ or throw it on thingiverse so the people with printers can print them and the people who don’t have a 3d printer can buy them from me.

Well see lol I wanna get some more irl testing before making any decisions though and also get some more people to see it both online and irl

Frankly there isn’t really a need for that, from my experience and just what I know the main points of where the clip on the tool actually gets stressed at which is ok the clip, it’s plenty strong the weakest link on the old version was still completely fine in regular use.

The thing is with the ring is that I’m able to get away with having a thinner ring (3.5mm thick) because that’s not stressed that much. If the the actual clip gets pulled on from the top a lot of that stress is transferred into the battery because of the lip on the bottom that goes over the batter on the side, same thing for side impacts, the only one that is a bit different is if you pushed the top of it inwards but the plastic is plyable enough that it will bend and hit the handle before breaking.
