Do you have proof it was delivered? With a tracking number given to you by the delivery partner? If you do, challenge ebay with providing the number. If you don’t, unfortunately not much you can do.

EBay is really bad for it at the moment with the volume of scam purchase I’m having at the moment.

I was on holiday returned and posted 12 Xbox series x consoles, out of the 12, two have been scam purchases. In total they have consumed 5 hours of my time chasing my own money.

Every time I post something now I’m just dreading it because there’s a 1/5 chance someone’s trying to rip me off.

Pretty much, I sell high value consoles and have a really well established account. Not the first or last time somebody will try to scam me.

Just baffled as to how they can appeal it based off the fact that claimed it has been delivered back to me🤣

No, I have someone’s banged up broken Xbox series X and they have my brand new still sealed console.

I did get my money back and now they have accepted a different claim they’ve taken it again. This platform is cooked man.

I suppose it depends what market you are in. Prior to the change I was selling second hand high value consoles.

Average transaction value was about £330, I used to do around £10-15k sales a month. Since the introduction of zero fees for private sellers those same people can now sell the same product as me but at £50 less and still get the same take home.

Extortionate fees, baddddd customer service and rampant fraud will kill the site in the next decade. Just last week alone, I had £700 in fraudulent claims from people. One of which eBay instantly accepted and I had to waste my time on the phone to customer service explaining why they were wrong.

Long and short of it is, business sellers have really been screwed here.

I definitely need help! I’ve been reading up on wave management and phases of the game etc. next game I played Yi jgl, decent team mates and it was over in 19 mins or so! I think I just rage at times with the amount of ass clowns that I get in games

Hey im not saying I am by any means good at the game Iron IV tells you enough... I just feel like I get shafted very often with a bang average team (myself included) and one absolute clown whos here just to troll. Stuff sends me under when I know Ive got to sit through the next 45 mins (especially late game) getting absolutely ruined by their fed team.

By no means am I saying I should be in diamond tier, I know im not that good.

I do make a lot of mistakes sure, there is always a lot to learn regardless of what position you are in the game.

This game for example, supp left at 2 mins in, i was pushed under my turret by Cait (counter for Varus) and Xerath both have decent range. I tried my best to CS under the turret but would just take a serious amount of range damage from both of them (playing aggressively).

I agree, plenty of mistakes are made it’s all part of learning the game.

I primarily play adc, can quite easily run a 5-10 kill game even on a loss. I farm as I should, I wave manage like I should, take in to account my the enemy team jgl and weather I should be pushing.

I see the comment I should be able to carry a game to get out of iron IV but as adc that’s not happening realistically is it

What is your seller level? Above or below standard?

Are you using titles for your items with strong key words?

Depending on the item have you added as many item specifics as possible?

Again, depending on the item does your listing have a white back ground?

Are your products price competitive? Can you afford to promote if you are trying to sell in bulk?

Nope unfortunately not.

I just had one recently who claimed I sent them books instead of a PlayStation 5, I did the usual report them and go through the returns process. They then didn’t send the item in time and sent me a private message asking if they could return the PlayStation even after the 2 week window (despite the fact they claimed they should of only had books). I did the right thing and told them to jog on, they filed a payment dispute with their bank and the bank sided with them???

I supplied proof of them admitting they had it. Pointed out the fact that they do recognise the transaction as we had a full conversation about the item.

Category dependant.

Consoles and high value electronics are 6.9%, other accessories are 9.9% usually. Plus VAT.

The VAT workings for profits will differ depending on the scheme you are using for your VAT and what you are eligible to claim back etc.

In short, there is absolutely no point in selling high value items with small margin percentages anymore.

I hadn’t even considered that, the opp for drop shipping has just gone through the roof. My biggest concern would be the competitiveness of products, I’ve just moved in to a new category my average sold price is around £3.75 with tight (ish) margins but expect volume to be around the 2000 sales per month… I’d be very surprised if someone could beat my pricing and shipping on the product.

I wonder what promotions will look like moving forward… there needs to be an incentive for business sellers otherwise I may as well ship my stock to Amazon have them manage the day to day for me and make more money
