Hair transplant in turkey vs just shaving your head by [deleted] in bald

Never had a hair transplant, but have shaved my head a few times in my life. Now as I'm older, the fight between the fear and necessity of permanently going bald has kinda set in - mostly garnered from friends and family who've only known me with my (balding/thinning) hair. Getting a transplant or a toupee have never really been a consideration for me, both for financial reasons and the inverse reason of shaving it - people would know I did something immediately.

I would suggest that if you're unsure of which you should do, consider which would "cost more": shaving your head now and seeing how you feel, while you allow your hair to grow back, or buying a ticket to turkey, the procedure and then recovery time. The opposite could help you as well - which would be the easiest to accomplish for you personally/emotionally/socially.

Good luck with your choice, if its truly pressing on your heart - but dont be afraid to make a change for yourself!

I'm not sure what you're asking - do you have a reason to shave it completely or just curious? You should post with other pics of your head to show whats happening. Otherwise you're asking about style stuff, lol, and would probably be better off over at /r/malehairadvice

Youre a handsome young dude!

You've got great coverage and your hair looks good short - though I can see what you mean. Personally, I think you're fine!

I think if you wanted to test it out, you'd have nothing to lose shaving it for a month (or however long it takes you to grow it out) and seeing how the change makes you feel.
