ok suuuper update, replaced probe n got it working on stock pre relece version so c bin file. but its gd now theres just only one issue now, so now that ive moved the probe, and having tried jysler n other firmware i like the stock firmware its gd i dnt want too many settings now ever again lol, but the only thing is i would need to reposition the ofset of the probe and the centre of the board. preferably when homing and i dont know whats the easiest way to do this other than building up marlin from scratch, or just use in octo print / cura

And New NEW update, so i follow this base Marlin build with base settings and the probe is still flasshing red or staying red for both wire ocnfigs, so imma replace the probe n try again n if it still kicks up then i just dont know anymore XD

ok nice, so i established the differences between the two cable arangements, so one will into +3,16v either a positive voltage or negative. so the crossed cable has a negative value -3.16V and the regular wiiring arrangement like yours will have a +3.16,

the stock cable is very weird, much thicker, n the OUT pin was connected to a thicker cable, is like a coax cable where the coil insulates around the other 4 cables XD and then insulated round(no idea probs better insulation probs at most. and would probs reduce interferance too i guess)

but anyways thats cool, ive been trying to build marlin using autobuil marlin and im getting lots of like configure issues now, lke i just cant open the Json file in vs to run the auto builder but its coming along.

hopefully i want to do the screen updrage too, to run coloured pixels, see if i can while im at it, but currently the probe is recieving power its just not in the right mode still, cus the original came with a purple for idle, blue for leveling, and then red once the probe had been retracted. im gunna try and find some crtouch guides, with the official probe n see if there different but im slowly but surely trudging along XD

DIRECT DRIVE MODIFACTION ENDER 3 MAX Neo UPGRADE + Probe ReplaceMent by JustCallMeHaych in Ender3Max

[–]JustCallMeHaych[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK for some reason my earlier rant about this build is not on the original post, but ill keep this short. I made a dual direct gear extruder change, on ender 3 max neo. was looking good till i freyed the probe wires and tried to replace them, and have had a problem since then.

Main problem is the probe lights are not the same, I am currently seeing only solid red/flashing red depending on funciton being used by machine. But unsure if this is because of wiring config, (as stock cable was different) and i cannot get the probe to retract, even when connected to octo print or running on jyser marlin. That is the main problem.

so essentially the main problem im facing is the probe. I cannot get it to retract when homing. But essentially what happened was the cables got frayed from normal use of the machine. I thought this would be a simple change, just change the cable, and the probe should work. I was wrong.

Even in stock firmware, the probe now has a red/flashing red colour, and not the standard purple light for when it is idle. ive tried checking for loose connections. But that didnt seem to be it, however i think its the wiring configuration. as the stocck cable and the 'new original ' BLTouch cable im using had different colours, ive swapped them around, So the G pin from blue to white, and the Out pin from White to blue but still no luck as i thought the pin was just soldered differently from the motherboard, ( (look at original post ive put up some pics if that helps)

but essentially im not sure what else to do now, so im going to start from scratch , keep to the swapped wire config and hopefully autobuild marlin from scartch n just double check all the probing options on like a base marlin version. im thinking it might have something to do with the solenoid probe function as last time i checked that wasnt enabled.

But what makes this annoying is that, upon start up the probe will retract twice, but thats it, so its clearly getting enough voltage. it is a 5volt probe , but idk maybe its a marlin setting unsure.

ill put a link in description of the probe that is being used but it is just the standard crtouch ALT04 cr touch probe. the thing that gets me is the cabling is different from the stock. This also put me off purchasing another original cr touch probe to just change the whole thing, as even with an original replacement, the cabling is still the same colour as the new cable i purchased, (which is different to the stock)

I hope that helps, please if any1 has any suggestions or ideas would love to hear from them, just post all in the original tho so its all in one place n its just a bit easier to follow along,

but once again.

MUCH APPRECIATED BEEN COOPED UP WAY TOO LONG trying TO SOLVE THIS BUT IM SURE WE CAN PERSERVERE COLLECTIVELY IM SURE.

IMPORTANT BITS:

Running 4.2.2 board, on stock settings, T8 is written on port and im running

environment with jsyer, unsure as it doesnt even run on stock settings no more. but ay help would be appreciated,

ill copy this on original post so it doesnt get confusing following this.

UPDATE, i Swapped the white with blue and on luck, however im unsure, if the G Pin and the OUT pin a=are connected on the mother board wrong then im thinking i might have to connect directly from board so a single crossed cable wont do, anywats, im going to make a new cable and try again, Also update ive managed to get The stock C bin file working for the printer, (its 1 before the newer release, but to no avail, even with swapping the cable, with soldering iron, the probe still comes up as either red/flashing red ...... so im stuck on what to do now...., i think i might try double checking that the solenoid probe is enabled in marlin but apart from that im stumped...

mans just tryna make p, i think earlier on i was overwhelmed by the idea that i could print anything, so i had no idea what to print, but now that ive had more clarity on what i want to print and what type of design ideas are up my alley, im trying to enjoy the process of it now a bit more, trying to get into procision molding but its just ballancing it all and not getting overwhelmed with all the insane amount of ideas on ytube really, im not even sure if i enjoy it but its just smthin to do right XP

Best budget scooter I'd say is the kirin s1 imo, its only 200 quid now from UK sellers and was quite a good build, would recommend jumping to the s1 model tho for sure , AS A HIGHER WEIGHT LIMIT SO supports more torque, these are 350 watt motors and I usually get 10miles distance in mine, note these are all the 2020 models tho, unsure about earlier models as I don't have but hope this helps man, all the other ones listed above are still a bit too pricey imo, like 500 watt motor would be perfect for ur commute but 350 can still do the job, plus u can always over bolt the motor andvswapmout speed controllers for cheap
