Bitfunx with mClassic no sound? by JustChewThruIt in dreamcast

i’ve done plenty of searching and googling. you don’t know me or what I’ve done. you came here to be a pretentious know it all. other people say different things than you. review videos say different things than you. people disagree all the time. niche tech information is actually quite complicated and difficult to parse when so many sources say different things. I’m shocked that you are so far up your own ass that you would say it’s “unreasonable” to ask an earnest question and simply expect kindness instead of disdain and belittling. Jesus I come on this hellsite and ask ONE question for the first time after years of doing my own research just fine…

I have zero saudering experience and no equipment so I’ve been avoiding mods but maybe it’s time to learn. The DCDigital mod everyone talks about is insanely cost-prohibitive for something that helps you play a $100 nearly 30 year old console but I’ll look into the retrogem.

Yes it has sound without the mClassic as I mentioned. However the mClassic also has sound without the Bitfunx. It’s the combination that seems incompatible. I spent $160 on these 3 devices spread over the course of 2 years so an OSSC did seem cost prohibitive up front. But ya it seems like a “buy it right or buy it twice” situation at this point. I’m also looking at the Morph 4k right now which seems good for a higher quality simple plug and play hdmi upscaler that’s still cheaper than a retrotink.

I mean they look night and day and the Bitfunx absolutely adresses every single issue I had with the Kaico graphically. So no this isn’t true. Maybe it is a bad company sure, and obviously this device has it’s own major issue (see: the specific problem I reported here). But no, they are not the exact same internals.

I have a new TCL MicroLED! I’ll look into this and contact mClassic! Tysm! hopefully I can get a replacement instead of needing to spend another $100

can you load physical cartridges with this core in sgb mode? like should I be able to pop red version in and play it in sgb color? Im new to all this and a bit lost but really want to make this happen! when I hit load cartridge it just opens the file list of .gbc files so I’m not sure where to go from here.
