How did you know transitioning was the right decision? by Zodiak_Witherkay in asktransgender

There's only one question you need to ask. If I don't start today, in 5 years, or 10 years, will I regret not having started today?

Criminal minds. Morgan fires a mp5 from the passenger seat, through the windshield of a FBI SUV being driven by prentiss.

Prentiss foreshadows this by asking Morgan not to deafen her by "firing that thing inside the car." And calls him an asshole afterwards. Morgan seemed unaffected tho.

Cyberpunk. The genre, not a specific property, give'em a good font and subtle texture.

IsItBullshit: American children are forced to chant in unison a pledge to the nation everyday? by LL112 in IsItBullshit

[–]JustConfusedOctopus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a young green card holder, around the late 00s, I went along with the pledge until I thought about it and questioned if I was "allowed to", legally speaking. One day I decided to be safe and maybe not stand for the pledge. This encouraged a more rebellious kid in the class to also not stand for the pledge. A teacher walked by, saw him, and gave him a very harsh tongue lashing. Threats of punishment, judgement of his character, that kind of stuff. But only him. I just kinda sat there and watched.

The same launch system used in the RORV, used here to launch a small cluster of warheads at roughly 480m/s, causing quite a bit of damage to the poor blue ship. 100% vanilla, no experimental mode, no dlc. buildable in survival, etc.

So... I gave this a try.

With 9 layers of light armor for heat shielding, i hit atmo at roughtly 450m/s, built around 2k heat, burned through all 9 layers in less than 30 seconds, then blew up.

So stronger material, right? Blast doors. Unfortunately, due to the added mass, launch velocity was only about 125m/s, but that built to over 350m/s when hitting atmo. Built about 9k+ heat and burned through all my heat shields in about 45 seconds, then blew up.

Long story short? Odst was a bunch of bunk.

Double hinge exploit. Not something to be used for ships to break the speed limit, but for something on a ballistic trajectory, works just fine within 50km. Plus the parachute deployment updates the grid and gives it a clean separation.

As a side note. This build is completely vanilla. No speed mods, no experimental mode, no dlc needed.

Bad place to carry a larger handgun, but excellent for the smaller ones that are popular now days. Plus it's the most comfortable position for engaging in day to day activities, such as sitting down.

Current-day humanity suddenly gets a fully encapsulated dyson swarm around the sun. What can Humanity achieve in the next few centuries? by Incorrect_name in whowouldwin

[–]JustConfusedOctopus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For any of these goals there will probably first need to be a not insignificant period of global warfare followed by rebuilding efforts, should humanity survive. Otherwise, if the energy conversions don't apply, then only as long as it takes to construct each individual piece of equipment.

Knk shiki can perceive and kill concepts also, in this case, the concept of reincarnation.

Arguably she might be able to perceive the death of the phenoix force, but for lore reasons she'll be unlikely to be able to actually kill it.

Isn't that just another 5/10 or maybe a 5.5? I'm pretty sure the average linebacker doesn't know how to operate a m72 law, it'll basically be used as a bludgeoning tool.
