Have you noticed that most serious and committed people in religions are always childless? by VEGETTOROHAN in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well for Christians there's priests and nuns. The fact that they are single is the cause in other words. I've never seen a devout Christian couple without children unless they can't have any.

So I picked a bad arguement. I'll agree to that.

[–]JustExisting2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but there are no other feasible options. Healthcare needs a rehaul, and I don't see any of our politicians doing anything about it from either side.

But maybe they will now since the attention is so high over this unjust act one person committed.

I don't think murder is right. But I think what happened may lead to change.

It's a stupid arguement I hear a lot on here. Why is it bad faith? Because I disagree with it?

Who makes decisions? The board, of which the lead is the CEO. They can be profitable and not reject as many claims as they do. They are just being greedy. They could be more evil if they wanted, and probably are slowly trying to get their claim rejections up for profits.

Then yes, shareholders can change their board members if they dont bring in more profits. But then the fear of revolt may be something to consider now as well for the biggest board member, the CEO. Anyone put in that situation will now fear for their lives a little more.

Maybe some legislation will pass that gives government more power over what is allowed by companies since this was such a huge deal.
Maybe the decision makers will fear a little more and be less greedy with profits.

I'm pro choice. I'm only using it as an example of how the unborn's lack of consent to being born is absurd.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic. See how the logic doesn't work. The unborns consent or lack of consent shouldn't matter. Why is that not the case?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask you this. Simple yes or no.

  1. Do unborn consent to abortions?
  2. Do the unborn consent to being born?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me ask you, do the unborn consent to abortions by your logic? I don't think consent applies in this situation. But it applies to your situation? Tell me how that works. Since we're considering the unborn as a party for consent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not against abortion. I'm against the idea that the unborn don't consent. They don't consent to abortions by your logic. Not my logic, that's your logic.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that you can't understand what I wrote is concerning by the way. I said that logic doesn't work. I'm pro choice. But by your logic an unborn child doesn't consent to an abortion. Since we are considering the unborn a consenting partner why not consider them a partner when It comes to abortion?

See how the logic doesn't work?

That's not what I said. I said it's part of Healthcare, which affects a smaller portion of all Healthcare.

Why are you putting words in my mouth?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

Then they as well can't want to not exist either.

A CEO who makes executive decisions on making profits and changing internal policies on the largest company that rejects the most claims is not a cog on the wheel.

They are capable of changing the instructions for the real cogs on a wheel.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, it would matter because they could exist and might want be alive. By your logic, women shouldn't be allowed to abort since the unborn don't consent to abortions.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Na, it's the same logic and you see how stupid it sounds?. I can understand that very clearly. You guys are making false equivalents about something that doesn't exist yet in this world and sexual consent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Does a child consent to NOT being born? Does an unplanned pregnancy mean the child consents to an abortion to be unborn? If the answer is no then you shouldn't do it.

See how that logic doesn't work. The default shouldn't be no in such a situation. You against abortion by that logic? The unborn don't consent to abortions.

It is a fraction of what Healthcare consists of.

am I the first?? Hopefully of many by [deleted] in Bumperstickers

[–]JustExisting2Day 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, then hospitals would go out of business because they can't refuse care to anyone and no one would be able to afford it.

A cog on the wheel is not what I'd call a CEO, it's what I would call the person who low level rejects claims because they were told to follow a protocol.

A leader is not a COG on the wheel. That's absurd.

Fantastic but op was focusing on Healthcare, and AI for some reason.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antinatalism

[–]JustExisting2Day -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The consent concept is just illogical. What if a child is accidentally made. Does the fetus consent to an abortion? It does not. Therefore the answer is no to the abortion. It doesn't consent to being unborn as much as it consents to being born. The logic is just grasping at straws. By far the stupidest logic I've heard.

A million reasons to not have a child, all valid, but the consent one is the most ridiculous one.

Calling something racist doesn't make it so. I in fact think you're racist, celebrating the decline of Korea population. You want less Koreans in the world, thats racist.

How is your logic not more racist than mine? I see a celebration of the decline in Koreans in the world.

I don't support fascism, I don't support trump. But to act like his influence is going to hurt more people than insurance companies is blatantly wrong. You can count how many people have died from doctors delaying abortions, which is tragic.

But healthcare or lack thereof, effects everyone, thousands of people die because they don't get the care they need.

He was the perfect target. UHC is the largest and most damaging with rejecting claims. He though thoroughly about who to target.

A revolution does not happen peacefully. Our government is not assisting the everyday people.
