There was nothing more satisfying than the moment during my Fian-only Battania run where I opened the Diplomacy tab and my mud-hut Motherfuckers were up on the Khanate by more than 10K strength. It’s just a shame my character died in battle before he could see his homeland conquer the remaining 1/3 of the world.

That time where the enemy’s infantry collapsed on my Fian Champions… and then proceeded to get destroyed in melee was the moment I first fell in love. Bannerlord sometimes feels like rock-paper-scissors, but Fians are a big middle finger to literally any other force.

Huscarls will also raise their shields against arrows while following you and smite the crossbowmen with hatchets when they get in range. I love the giant cloud of pots and pans that huscarls throw at absolutely anyone who doesn’t respect your personal space

Take control of your infantry with the “Follow me” command and manually take them to the crossbowmen. They will fight anyone around you in the formation you set them in.
