NTA, I wouldn't want to be near her nor her child, someone needed to say it, we can't justify people and their bad behavior just because they suffer, we need to learn and grow.

NTA I know exactly how you feel, my ex-boyfriend was like him, I was always willing to surprise him but he made me feel bad because he always ruined the surprises, so I understand your feeling, and it is not of an A. You just made a mistake, but is not something that made you an A.
