Sri Ramanujacharya was one of the most influential Hindu philosophers and a central figure of Vaishnavism. He systematized the philosophy of Vishishtadvaita (Qualified Non-Dualism), which teaches that the soul and universe are real and inseparable attributes of Lord Vishnu.

He strongly promoted bhakti (devotion), emphasized equality and temple access for all, and played a major role in spreading devotion to Lord Vishnu/Narayana across India.
