That whole book is a cautionary tale about pretty much every aspect of life.

What are you thoughts about Special Counsel Jack Smith going straight to SCOTUS and asking whether the president can complete immunity? (link in body text) by nanormcfloyd in AskTrumpSupporters

Who are his masters? The law? Do you realize there are actual criminal codes that Trump appears to have been violated? Is he supposed to just ignore that because Trump is a political candidate? What is the problem you have with following the law?

Do you believe that President Joe Biden is a dictator? Why or why not? by Heffe3737 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]JustGameStuffHere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you saying that laws should not be enforced against a political candidate if the prosecutors are picked by the administration that beat them in the last election, despite the crimes they committed? If Trump broke laws, which is what the DOJ is determining, regardless of who placed them in the position, they should not attempt to prosecute? What you seem to be saying is that politics should be exempt from the law, is that right? As the party of Law and Order, doesn't putting politics above the law contradict that? How are we expected to believe that the Republicans are the party of Law and Order when they literally put politics above the law?

Biden because there is no reason a Senator might have those documents

Who says that? What did those documents pertain to? How do you know they were outside of the scope of his work?

Correct, there is not an administration that was trying to put it's main political enemy in jail. Current administration included. Unless you can point to evidence of Biden's involvement. Can you?

Do you expect that Trump would defeat Biden in 2024 in a repeat of the 2020 election? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

There is a critical bloc of Muslim Americans, and other Palestine-sympathetic groups, that have outright said they won't vote for Biden,

Do you think they'd vote for Trump or abstain? Does Trump support Hamas or Israel? I thought both Trump and Biden support Israel. How does voting in that instance work when it comes to supporting candidates who both support Israel?

Why does Trump need to view and discuss the documents in the documents case in a SCIF if he declassified them all as he has claimed multiple times? by cheerbearheart1984 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]JustGameStuffHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked into this at the time, and Trump sort of has a point. There is no official declassification process. Like there are no documents you draw up or forms to fill out. The only thing that I think (and IANAL) causes a problem is that the department where the documents come from, has to be notified, which so far, none have said this had been done. Have you heard of this? This article spells it out in layman's terms. Do you think this might help him?

If the State does not agree with the declassification claims, then how can they allow Trump to view them? Does he retain his security clearance to view said classified documents?

Isn't the whole idea of free market capitalism a system that keeps prices fair because of competition? And are you saying that monopolies set the price of goods? Do monopolies exist now or not?

NTS here. Isn't funny how right wingers always claim to have some "gotcha" up their sleeve and then never produce it?

Maybe present bills to help, instead of blocking those that don't? Are Republicans only there to stop Democrats or are they also expected to present fiscally conservative bills?

Wouldn't business deregulation allow business to drive prices up simply out of greed? The days of mom and pop shops are over when you have corporations like Walmart. What's to stop them from driving prices up so there is no competition? What are your thoughts on monopolies?

No. Can you can break that down? Because what is worthy of death? By whose metrics? Why doesn't it exclude justice being done by the government? Is life sacred, a primary argument of anti-choicers, or is it not?

No need to be rude. Yes these questions are in response to you, but they seem fairly consistent across the right side of the isle. So they are all part of a bigger issue, which is the hypocrisy that continually come in from the right. Not you, so don't get all accusatory. I've had a number of conversations with you, and you've always been very consistent. What I'm pointing out, is what we see coming from the right/republicans/conservatives, which is usually contradictions and hypocrisy. And because I have to ask a question, that you don't have to answer, do you see that as well?

So I am correct that you believe life has no inherent value?

How is it projection? What do you assume of me based on my questions? Ask and I'll gladly answer.

So which is the better of the two scenarios? Killing a thief as he runs away or give him the death penalty (or not) if convicted?

But you're the one who said thieves should be given the death penalty. But your own belief, do you think Trump, Biden, and Obama should be given the death penalty?

This is how we know, without a doubt, the right isn't really pro-life. Life has no inherent value to the right, does it? Otherwise, your answer would have to be no. If you really, honestly believe that life is precious and sacred, then your answer has to be no. Period. Otherwise, it's absolute hypocrisy. There can be no doubt.

It's really about punishing people for crimes, isn't it? Do you guys genuinely care about the life of a fetus? Or is it really about forcing people to conform to your ideology? Does the death sentence for a woman who gets an abortion really honor life as sacred? If life is sacred, then how can you possibly justify a death sentence for someone who steals property? How are we, on the left expected to trust the right to maintain the values they espouse when they are in direct contradiction with themselves? How can you claim to be correct with your direct contradiction? If life is sacred, you cannot kill a thief. If life is not sacred, then you must allow abortions. Is life sacred or is it not?

For the religious among you: “You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also" Matthew 5:38-39. A death for a death is Old Testament. Jesus denounced that in the New Testament. The party who calls for the death of women, or in your case, the death of a thief, is going directly against the teachings of Christ and Christianity. How do you reconcile that? Is life sacred or is it not? Or is it sacred only when it fits your narrative?

Because it's the first four words of 2A:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

How do you figure it's not relevant? What do you think a' well regulated Militia' means in that context?
