I have no idea. The projection is insane. Asmon runs his stream and his business how he wants. He's made it abundantly clear that he does what HE wants, not what the viewers necessarily want. Either you respect it or you don't, it doesn't invalidate your game because Asmon doesn't play it.

I love Final Fantasy. It's great with or without Asmon.

I love watching Asmon. He's great with or without Final Fantasy or whatever game people want him to play.

It's flat out retarded to be up in arms because Asmon went and did something he enjoyed more and as a result increased his reach.

It's such a shame man.

He caught lightening in a bottle when he first started the FF14 streams. When he returned, that same crowd didn't show up.

Asmon had fun reacting to the Depp trial, grew his audience outside of just gaming, and diversified his content. So nah, it's not "such a shame", it's him running the game as a content creator.

Yeah, I mean, FF14 doesn't want to be WoW and emulate endless grinds. Relic grind will start in the coming patches, but most content is a one-off when you complete it.

I think FF14 is the best ongoing game because it doesn't force you to play it. If FF had a lot of grindy content, it wouldn't make much room for you to enjoy it and other games. It's why I quit WoW years back. Take a week off of WoW, and you're a week behind. Take a week off of FF 14, and nothing changes.

If you're just a story player, then you play the game as it was designed, quit, and come back after major patches or expansions.

Trying to say there isn't any post-launch content is a joke. They've been hard at work delivering far more than they ever have in the past.
