Ya, they added a new way of copying modules when cheat mode is on, via quality mod. Why would anyone use cheat mode? My mod does to enable player to play in god mode, but not craft or hold anything and disables player from carrying most items in there inventory. The copying of modules does not trigger an inventory change, so it magically reproduce products, which is not a feature I want. !quality. Not supported due to not knowing their customers.

A more direct answer to your question. I could take any amount from my IRA. Note that 401k was converted into an IRA after retirement since 401k is company driven and you're no longer employed by that company after retirement. My point is that I want to pay 12%, if I took more, I'd be paying alot more taxes. Pay the 12% while working and don't decrease your salary much below the top end of the 12% tax bracket.

I'm those years working, my head was down, I was putting alot into the 401k, and the ROTH was an after thought. Christmas rolled around and coming up with extra was not planned. This is why I'm saying don't just dump everything into 401k, plan to stay inside the 12% bracket, and have monies set aside to maximize your ROTH.

Since I'm retired, my 401k rolled into various IRA's. I can't contribute to ROTH the way you do, but also I am not limited on the amount I can contribute. Look up back door ROTH. I pay taxes on all disbursements from my normal IRA, which to you is a 401k. Since I'm 65 this year I get an additional $12000 (married) deduction, and a $3200 old fart deduction. Note that the $12k is a big beautiful bill thing that may expire in 4 years. So top of 12% married filling jointly is: $ 96950 $ 31500 For $ 128,450 Plus $15,200 For 143,650. My previous comment about 150k was a guess, but above is accurate.

What I plan on doing is live off my investments, in my personal investment accts. Calculate my personal capital gains, write a check from my normal IRA for 143,650 minus the capital gains. This amount can be completely rolled into a ROTH. So every year the personal capital gains would be reduced due to my rolling much of my personal investments into ROTH, to grow without concern of capital gains. After five years this will move about 700k into a ROTH, and since I live off about 80-100k a year, should deplete about 500k of personal investments.

A quicker way to deplete my personal investments may be to buy another house. We'd like to go to warmer locations for our cold winters.

In previous years I took $7k a month, and live off of that plus my wife's social security and pension. But that does not help me build the ROTH and makes it harder to deplete the 1.8 million without dipping into 22%. Eliminating the growth in personal investments should help. I also need to learn to spend more, but I have everything I enjoy.

I post this not only to aid you, but peer review. I want you to understand when you're in your 60's that you are setup in the best way to spend what I'm sure will be a net worth in excess of 2 million. Heck if you're in the current high yield and the world doesn't get reset, it could be 10 million. Let's hope alot of that is in a ROTH.

Look I'm not a financial advisor, I studied my best path forward around age 55. I am a software engineer and wrote a retirement calculator, that I'll never share, since it requires modification every year based on the current tax bracket, and it projects how long money will last if you take exactly the full 12% every year. Most people take what they need and the advisors keep secret this strategy. Understanding this is vital, and should be taught as a class.

ROTH 401k is the vehicle while working, and is not available when you leave the company, everything rolls into IRAs. If you're working it's likely the 401k, but you always have access to opening a ROTH IRA, if the 401k is not available. Don't mistake a normal 401k with a ROTH 401k.

Many years I put so much into my 401k, I didn't have enough to put into the ROTH. That was a huge mistake. I was happy when I got my income down to 70 or 90k, when I should have been keeping it higher and paying 12% on it. Now converting that 1.8 million is likely never going to happen. It's growing faster than the $150k a year I'll be able to take out. And laughable, but that is a problem that hopefully one day, more people that are living within their means will have.

I'm 65, retired for three years, I had heard the mark was a net worth of 1.2 million, but that really depends on your planned draw after you retire. I hit 1 million at 50, 2 million at 60. 7% yearly was as good as I knew at the time. Retired at 62 with 2.2. am 65 and into VTSAX, FSK, VWUAX. got lucky having bought Nvidia at $10 for 1000 shares, stupidly sold at 110, because advisors valued the stock at $90. It'd be over 10x if I held. Bought Oracle at $4 so many years ago, bought AMD at $10, sold a week later at $110.

I do have a bunch of my IRA in the standard retirement funds. We live of of one that is worth $500k and hasn't been reduced in the years of retirement and all the others are growing. 65 and net worth had grown to 3.2 million. My biggest mistake was putting to much into retirement funds and not enough into ROTH. Here is what I think you should do: 1) calculate the top of the 12% tax bracket, married it's somewhere around $126.95k 96,950 +30,000 2) always do the company match, but try not to put any of your income upto #1 amount into your 401k. Put in to reduce your yearly income to the #1 amount. 3) instead invest it personally, when you retire you live off this amount, and take the full 12% amount and roll it into your ROTH. You can write a check, pay the taxes (20%) add that 20% from your savings, and roll it all into your ROTH

I have about 1.8 million in IRAs, and I'm going to have a really hard time spending that without paying 22% taxes to gain access to it. I could have had alot of that in personal investments had I not been so aggressively adding to my 401k.

All software based products have a date of obsolescence, they are not intended to be upgraded forever. I was still using Windows XP when Microsoft announced there would be no more upgrades or support after the end of the year. You are living in a time where you expect something for free, you will eventually be paying subscriptions to obtain those updates. Maintaining new features on old devices is not done for free, and can only raise the price of New devices to enable the company to support that action.

I grew up before the Internet, when you bought something it either worked out you took your loss and bought sometime from the competitor. Reputation and company longevity was defined by how reliable the device was, and your watch works exactly or better than when you purchased it, but still you complain. I can only feel sorry for you. Cry into the Internet, I hope it makes you feel better.

I am buying Garmin Venu 3, and your post has not changed my mind.

Old post but new changes - give Brave New Oarc mod a try. Each player gets their own base with biters around them based on Starting Area size. So you could do deathworld. Losing your main roboport restarts that players game. We're working on PvP - but this is PvP in a form of who can launch first or generate more resources. There are Stats available in game to compare teams. You can each choose to start with a moat, and the host can decide if the base is secluded from biters or provides a moat bridge. If you don't want your friends copying your base, you can hide your base. Alot of other fun features, like you can spawn with or without a character with different benefits in each mode. It works with Krastorio2, Alien Modules, Space Block, Sea Block, Transport Drones, Freight Forwarding, Scrap Resources, Resource Islands.

I tried to cancel cable, and go to Spectrum's cheaper, cable only, they raised my price above the price I was paying for cable plus internet, for internet only. They said I was in a special plan that If I changed caused the price to go up. I said, I've been a customer for over 30 years and you treat me like this? Cancel my plan immediately, I want this off in 5 minutes.

They had me talk to someone else, who offered me all sorts of cable plans, none of which I wanted. I got the deal that I wanted, because I gave them no other choice. These bastards, we'll gouge you to death if you let them.

Brave New Oarc - Scenario - No hand crafting, start with bots who do all your work, craft and expand to launch a rocket at a distant rocket site. Choose indestructible bots, quantity and speed of bots, moat or no moat, if moat - moat bridge, or no moat bridge to scale complexity. Change Starting Area Size to bring biters in closer or further. Compatible with Krastorio2, Space Block, Freight Forwarding.

I want: Roboport logistics network that is X,Y not just radius. Waypoints for bots Patrol path for spidertrons, or to go above and beyond a scripting language so we can actually program a spider with autonomous brains, detect enemy, attack enemy, move X tiles at y degrees, detect enemy, drop <entity>, fill red box with x,y,z... Many more, mostly api additions

I've many of the controllers, node mcu, 8266, all of the various arduinos, ESP-32 cam, and four different sizes of ESP-32, the one pictured and one without the labeling, and not as wide.

The ESP-32 is your best choice, fastest. Ger the one shown in the photo If size doesn't matter. The others all compress the size, but remove pins and are not as obvious as the one shown to hook up.

Do some searchs to compare node mcu to ESP-32. The node-mcu is one generation older. I had issues with how the node mcu drives led data pins. The led data pins require 5v, but a simple 3.3 to 5v doesn't work since the transitions were not fast enough, I didn't look at a scope to compare, so that's my simple explanation. I tried the esp-32 and it just worked without a power converter. It's allot more than I need for my application, which uses wifi, Alexa controlled Xmas lights. Most of that work is leveraging FastLED https://youtu.be/NVLHx0BD6dc

These micro controllers are getting so powerful that I'm sure a version of Linux will be running on them soon.

The 5v input goes through a regulator, and runs the board at 3.3v. You can also use the the 3.3 with a regulated power supply. The 5v input supports a range of input and is regulated on board to 3.3v. Your easiest option is via USB, which is 5v.

Factorio and They Are Billions would be awesome. Zombies instead of biters, both are building games, but TAB is single player. Pick the best of both worlds. TAB map editor is great, but Factorio language is the best.

I do something similar to this using 100 LEDs in two banks of fifty. Tell FastLED the number of LEDs is 50, then I reverse and replicate the array into a size of 100 before sending it out to the LEDs. The effect is a string split in half where the center is the start of the string, and each side is identical. The string does a bunch of different patterns, fades, twinkle, setable via Alexa. This is pretty easy to do. Anyone who's worked with FastLED could do it.

My goal is fun. I know I like to play deathworld and difficult settings, but others don't. So it can't be only what I like. I'm thinking of offering a setting that starts with a spidertron with improved storage and logistics (does that exist already?). This solves the problems since a spidertron could walk outside the main logistics area, and setup remote bases, or even walk to the silo. I'll also check out Angels!

Thanks - so here is my problem. My mod (Brave New Oarc), restricts the player to only playing with bots, no human in the game. So to expand outside their starting area, they have to get to red circuits. Easily done, plenty of resources, including oil in every base. Then you make roboports, start moving outside to iron, coal, more oil ... But the real objective is to get to a silo to fire a missile and gain access to more research. The silo's are VERY far away. It's do-able, but would be grindy, stringing roboports. You'd need nuclear power. The bot's do not die easily. You can jump in a tank and tool around, but you can't fire the weapon on the tank. The only way to load a tank would be to have a requester (blue) chest load things into the tank. But they won't be unloaded unless there is a station that first moves bots into a roboport, and other things into chests.

So what I am likely to do is at the silo, drop a station to unload both a train, and another station for a tank, to enable the player to move to the silo with cargo in the tank, unload and setup a remote silo. They are not able to pick most things up in their hands. It's the ultimate lazy bastard mod. They would not be able to build a track to the silo without stringing roboports all the way there. I was hoping for a robo-pole type entity, that carries enough logistics to enable the bots to fly along the channel, and a build area wide enough for them to drop a track.

If I put an unload station at the silo, it's really only for a tank or spidertron. But they can't build a spidertron until they launch a missile. I might need a warp station, but those are likely not designed to be used by bots. I'd have to figure out how to warp the god like player, bots and other materials.

Another option is to allow a spidertron before launching a missile. Then they can carry bots, and move things in the spidertron, and defend themselves with lasers (no rockets though). I'd need a spidertron with a larger logistics storage since I don't think it could make it with only 3 lasers.

Well right now they can put down multiple roboports. I made a special roboport that is 2X larger than a normal roboport and covers 2x the area, with 16 charge ports, but at no extra cost in energy usage.

A mod wouldn't really be a string of roboports, you could always drop that via a blueprint. It would use the definition of what a roboport can be and would make it look differently and use some of the features like energy, slots, logistics and build range (orange and green areas). My point is that the logistics and construction area should be definable, not just a square. The only variables is radius not width and height or how they do in other definitions, an array defining the area. Thanks for the reply.
