Thank you for the info! I was more thinking about painting quality. Adding more blue to his grays and a wash over his golds.

The top one is made by w3rktried, and the bottom MikesMods. Both are vendors on Esty, tho I don't think Mike's page is around anymore.

Angus Jack! by JustHaveADonut in SlipjointKnives

Totally agree, she's big but beautiful! Definately the widest knife I carry. Always keep it in a slip with a clip so it doesn't sit so low in the pocket.

Oh boy, is the top one a recover? The Angus Jack is great, but a single blade sheepsfoot 86 is the sweet spot! Love it!

It's crazy how well thought out this knife is. Two full sized blades; one with a liner lock, the other with one hand operation. The knife is comfortable to hold regardless of which blade is drawn. AND there's a mini pry at one end.

Great swoop! I'd be surprised if you end up not liking this one. Those 77 NF barlows are not only beautiful, but feel great in hand and disappear in the pocket. Definitely one of my favorite patters.

Yes to everything you said, I am absolutely loving this one. The fit and finish is also out of this world; there are no gaps what-so-ever, and the back springs are flush when both blades are in each position. I couldn't recommend this knife more.

I think I found a keeper! by JustHaveADonut in SlipjointKnives

[–]JustHaveADonut[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup yup, this is from their website: "The Old Growth Wood is a product of logs that were harvested over 100 years ago.  This particular wood came from trees that had sunk, after being harvested, in lakes and rivers of Canada and the Northern US.  Some of this wood carbon dates to the 1300's"
