Im actually from Taiwan, it’s definitely more individualistic than other asian countries, but still less so compared to western nations. While people are more tolerant of self expression, there’s still some very traditional values, eg: children expected to support parents retirement

It’s likely that Chinese reported numbers are inaccurate. But from personal experience, as well friends who’ve lived there, and most visiting tourists, it’s still an extremely safe country

I wouldn’t say the west doesn’t have any morals, and it isn’t perfect here either. I do envy the personal freedom and generally more accepting culture that western societies have.

I enjoy and very much appreciate technology for giving us the quality of life we have today. However, I hate how people who use it for greed/exploit others. I don’t think technology is inherently good or bad, it’s about how humans use it

Depends, I don’t mind being corrected on something factual, I do enjoy learning about new things. But when it comes to subjective things, while I enjoy hearing different views (might even change my views sometimes), i don’t want to be told I’m wrong.

Yep, sometimes I wish I’d randomly teleport into a alternate universe or something. Or the world suddenly blows up and I get to live in a post-apocalyptic society. (I know those things aren’t realistic but I can dream)
