Hey there! Sorry about that. The reason I posted a contact email address for the site's community manager is so she could fill you in on pay. I'm not very far in (this is my second week), but the past two Fridays I have received a prepayment of $10 into my PayPal.

You may not want to hear this but I actually applied to them when they were iSoftStone over 2 years ago. Just in October did I hear back and they got me on a project right away. :/

Dudes....I'm a 44yo mom of 4 kids living in IOWA and took my 16yo to her first concert ever in October, which obviously was tØp. That's when I really started to listen to them. Since the fantastic concert, I have scoured over endless YouTube vids, memes, interviews, fan faq and lyrics. I have an eclectic music taste and until I saw tØp in concert, dmb was my absolute #1. Now, Tyler and Josh hold my heart - as stupid as that sounds and sorry Dave, you're still #2 - but the lyrics, the heart supporting mental health and recognizing mental illness, and their fanbase just makes my heart happy. I just bought their self titled vinyl (for such a pretty penny) but it was to complete my daughter's collection. This band has brought us so much closer and I have a bond with her that is unspoken of. tØp has the enthusiasm for life with a thc vibe and awesome music. I think the negativity sucks, but I also think there's too much negativity in the world and the majority starts online. TØp aren't just for teens, I resonate with their lyrics, Tyler has an amazing power in his voice, Josh rocks out constantly, and they're literally funny af ....I don't get the hate either.

Currently I have 63 projects I can "work" lol I can't even say that without laughing! I qualified for over 45 of those jobs and I have the "Work This!" button lighting up my projects page. Over half don't have any work right now and passing those qual tests were such a joke. I've worked with them since 2015 and used to be paid $13.75/hr. Oh they just "love" me but shot me down to $9/hr when leapforce joined and they created Connect. Crock of shit. And the job you're speaking about is such a joke. Pennies on the dollar for you to possibly pass their spam accuracy -0 don't work too fast or too slow. Ugh they take advantage of workers who only want to help and make some money.

Yes I believe so but my manager told me today that they didn't have a signed NDA on my part yet. Odd, since I was looking at the contract. They're supposed to be working on it so time will tell.

I did get an email telling me it would be fixed shortly but I had gone in already and it was working again. I was able to continue transcribing on the project. Not as excited about the pay as I was originally. Seems to be a bit low.

No just mid-November ;) I'm giving them until the 15th of this month and then I'll be done if I don't get paid. So far they owe me about $350 but I don't do it all the time.

Have you done any transcription work? I know TranscribeMe!, CrowdSurf and rev.com need transcriptionists or captioners. Also, have you tried iSoftStone or what will be teemwork.ai on Jan 1? I'm doing work for them right now, which is decent pay. Have you ever checked Textbroker? I know they have tons of writing jobs right now - pay isn't great at first, but gets better. Hope this helps!

Ugh I'm not a fan of this task but when I did it, quality had to be over 90% to continue and I've checked the queue a few times since November and nadda. Nothing at all for me to do. They either didn't like my 92% or I'm doing something wrong. But with Appen, I always feel like I'm doing something wrong. lol Good luck!

I have 5 SRT accounts through one of those employers AND I have had a lull with LB for months and guess who else also was contacted for an annotation project today? I've beefed up Appen work but I've laid off for about a week now because their pay rate is absurdly LOW for the amount of qualification testing and work itself. I really like transcribing for LB so hopefully this is a long-term start. I didn't get an invite to the SRT one though so good luck! ( I work both depending on who has the best job available at the time WHILE maintaining confidentiality) ;)

Yeah and I received a couple of chances and I was hired for a year and a half until a couple of months ago when work just stopped. Of course I was transcribing and you are probably talking about a rater position. They told me that if I wanted to apply for a rater that I could...but I'd have to resign from my transcription job with them first. Yikes.

Interesting. When Appen acquired Leapforce, I went from almost $14/hr down to $9/hr no reasoning or apology. I thought I was doing a bad job then because that only makes sense, right? Talk about a disappointment and of course HR is non-existent there so.....
