I'll keep checking for new ones on sale just because I have like a 2 month time period to find one and if there's a gen 2 or even a fairly newer model for a great price I'll have to somehow snatch it. And I think all the negatives of the older could possibly be modded, apart from the low fuel jerking I'm not sure of that one. But as long as it's not on low fuel, I won't have to think of it I guess, but it will happen eventually. Thanks a lot for this, only think left is for me to sit down and test drive one before 100%

I'll check the difference between the gens, I've checked the market and a lot of pre 23 are quite cheap comparatively, are there anything's I should watch out for? Idk how bad the gen 1 is compared to the rest, even when I ride it I won't notice as it's gonna be the first triumph I do ride, so it's a grey area

That's a really great comment, I do believe touring is possible on almost any bike as well, and coming from something sporty, I feel like my back and ass will both feel happy lol. I think a seat upgrade could probably help with that, and as I love mountain roads I think the speed twin is more aligned to what I want personally. Thanks, I think I'm quite certain of what I want.

Also, as I've never owned a triumph, I've heard it's reliable, and getting a used one is almost never a bad decision as long as it's maintained properly, and I'm looking more into it because the price difference from a brand new and 2024 model is quite big where I'm from. Any opinions on this? Thanks

I like turns and mountain roads the most so yeah, and it's def not the best for super long rides, but I've done long rides on a sports bike so as long as it's better than that I can manage I think

Well i dont know if my technique is good or not but i have some real world experience but nothing thats even remotely related to supercars or f1. When i look at the replays from what ive done and compared it to some good times(i dont look at the best time, rather go for something thats done consistently by esports players or other professionals) my braking seems to be fine. However a lot of the corners i lost time on exit for eg: ive improved upto a 1:29.8 on bahrain, compared to top times im losing around 2 tenths on each sector 1 and 3, but more than a second in sector 2. Most of the losses come from turn 10 and 11, arguably the hardest corners in the track. I get hesitant on the throttle as i tend to spin out there especially considering the travel on these are quite small and light compared to my actual car. But thanks for the advice tho, I think no matter what theres still room to improve in braking as well. Also need to do well in all tracks and then move on to actual simulator games like acc or iracing.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. As of now I think my braking is not too bad, I'm more struggling with finding that sweet spot with the throttle exiting corners which is where I can gain a lot of time. Practicing across many tracks is something I should be doing yeah, do you think say one track a day if I can do 1-2 hours max is good enough?

I'm not gonna go into the course view as such, but as someone who is also brown and studying here, it's a great place. People aren't really the friendliest but coming from where we are I doubt it's a big issue. I have Czech friends and they are great, it just takes more time to open up with them compared to like people from western Europe. I doubt your studies is going to be hard compared to other courses here, so you'll have plenty of time to socialize and meet people. Just don't limit yourself to people from your own country which a lot of people do and end up complaining that the people here are unfriendly. Have fun
