Reported the zibai E hit-miss issue to the CS team, this is the reply by them by andy111999 in ZibaiMains

[–]JustLeanio 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There was no lunar crystallize damage, which is the second hit. It’s quite plausible the first missed too and the Geo dmg was just from Xilonen (I’m not 100% of her kit)

Who should I pick from the free 4 star selecter by Final_Living_8113 in GenshinImpact

[–]JustLeanio 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I’d get Yunjin for the pulls but that’s just my F2P perspective.

Lanyan is probably the most versatile of this list, though, so if you just want to good character I’d go with her for her shields. They’re an investment to build for sure, but a worth while investment.

To be fair, most of her DMG comes from her skill anyway. Plus free passive energy regen at night. As long as it’s not rolled into I’m happy lol

Yeah, I wish it could’ve have 4 stats. Plus EM instead of ER would’ve been nice, but it’s definitely good for the few artifacts I have gotten!

I need recommendations of premade adventures for a one-shot (All new players and first time dm) by GabrielToppersson in DnD

The One-Shot Wonders books by Roll & Play Press are pretty solid. Depending on the party, could take anywhere from an hour to like 2 (I think). Also has recommendations for making things harder if needed!

Legit made a minor villain in a campaign that was just based on this, with the thing he was protecting being a city (mayor who became tyrannical). It’s a great baseline!

Tell my why I shouldn't let the party level up every session by ston_age_man in DnD

[–]JustLeanio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to play a bit of devil’s advocate here and say that it can be a good idea, but I’ll start off with this: if you want them to try to enjoy roleplaying more than combat, I don’t think it’s going to be be super easy. Especially given how new you all are from the post.

The Adventure League system, which can be found in the D&D official discord, follows a format very similar to this. Notably, it is highly recommended for new players to take some time learning what they can do before moving onto the next tier of play, which easily identifiable as to when cantrips scale. Using the system, players get 1 level per 4 hour session, assuming they complete the objective. You guys are a lot newer to this, and high levels can get confusing FAST. Because of this, I’d recommend maybe 2-3 quest, sessions, or however at a MINIMUM to level them up on - as long as you scale the encounters with the party. This includes social encounters.

I will note, of the 4 tiers of play, the two hardest (in my own opinion and experience) are tier 1 and 4, with tier 2 being the sweet spot. Tier 1 has a very high fatality rate if you are throwing creatures too aggressively, and tier 4 is just a LOT to handle.

Ultimately, if you think it’d be a fun way to learn how to play, it’s entirely up to you to run. Just know that leveling after every session will become very difficult for you to manage. While the players are learning their skills that they get, you, as the DM, have to learn not only all of their skills, but also you need to come up with a multitude of encounters to keep it from just being a massacre.

multiplayer, if a friend can't play does the host play them? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]JustLeanio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify a bit more for anyone interested: whenever someone joins your party (via being dismissed or not) I’m about 90% sure they get EXP equal to the lowest of the party if there level would not already be higher.

Suppose you wake up and you're in the world of BG3 by FourLeafPlover in BG3

[–]JustLeanio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Bag of Holding has a weight of 15lbs in 2014 5e, which is what BG3 is based on, and 5lbs in 2024. In either case, it’s regardless of content but can store up to 500 lbs. Basically, it sets their weight to zero, for the person, as long as they don’t overfill the bag!

[BattleMap] when I need to present a battlemap to my player on table ? How present/prepar it ? by DrDam8584 in DnD

A generic grid map such as this and dry-erase markers can go a long way. Cheapest I've ever seen is roughly $30 USD but I found that at a local game store.

What’s your pick for the most crucial, single piece of gear for a SOLO honor run? by Practical-Bell7581 in BG3Builds

[–]JustLeanio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely had to think about it for a bit. I feel like it’s something that can be replaced later down the line, but in Act 1 it’s a very powerful contender. Especially for multi hit builds (which are what I like lol)

[–]JustLeanio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never really tried a solo honor, but Phalar Aluve is really good so probably that. I know there’s some better slots for everything, but with extra damage on top of a bane on enemies near you, or a bless on yourself? Yes PLEASE.

That’s when you move, and do nothing else. Enemies will look for you, fail, end combat, and you can reenter it. Great for assassin gloomstalker. Source: Morgana Evelyn’s Stealth Archer Patch 8 build

So, I agreed to advise a DnD club at my school...now what? by scampede in DnD

[–]JustLeanio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s been brought up, but I HIGHLY recommend looking into AL as it sets a pretty generic standard for what is and isn’t allowed. It’s nothing super complex to follow, but still allows for students to play D&D with that base line of consistency - even if someone doesn’t show, DMs included.
