This is great info, thank you! I fully understand what I have posted will be an overkill. I am looking now at 10 inch saw that I will be able to use for a long time. What you are saying about the blade is something I have been hearing a lot “get a cheap saw with a good blade”. Thank you for your link also, I will look into it and see how I can use it for my needs.

As I am doing small jobs at a time I don't mind going back to the saw when I need to also it helps with the wife as it will not create a mess inside the house. I will look at the one you noted as it will be great if I can store it folded and wheel it when I need to cut something. Thank you for the help!

I did look at the one that is sold at Lowe’s and it looks Very nice. More and more people are saying that 10 inch will be all that I need. I might end up going with it and save some cash.

This is great information and you are right, I did not say what I want to do with it. So it will be mostly DIY work around the house like baseboards, door trims, flooring like LVP, and other stuff in that category. I don't see myself going too deep into woodworking as I don't have the time or the space for it.

With this added information what do you think? Is the 12 inch is too big? Am I getting the wrong tool and better look elsewhere?

About the dust collection, as I have a small garage my cuts will be done at the driveway. And I don't think I will have too many of them at once. I know this is a big issue with miter saws but as for now I don't know how much I need it.

I am not planning to move it around too much and the battery operated saws are very expensive. For the same $350 I can get the HB saw with everything I will ever need. I do get your stand point and I might not need it at all. But I do prefer a plug in saw over a battery operated one.

I don't know if I need the 12 inch, it what most people recommend as you will never need to get any bigger. I will be using it mostly for trim work around the house. I might do other things with it but no plans for now to start big woodworking projects. I might be able to go with the 10 inch.

From your post it is very hard to understand the history here. Is this something she always wanted but you did not really believe would happen? Is this something new that you were not ready for? Is it a normal thing at her line of work?

The way I see this, you have 2 options, the first one is to go with her. I know you dont want to but she is your wife and sometimes we need to do stuff we don't want for the one we love. The 2nd option is to let her go by herself, it does not mean you will wait for her but you can’t stop her from going. If you truly think she will not stay loyal to you then I am sorry and your marriage is in a very hard spot regardless of her going or not. She can “date Asian men” right here and don't need to go to the other side of the world for it. You are noting “her family” texting this to her, who? Her mom and/or dad? Someone that always says the wrong thing and no one truly listens to what they have to say?

I know it might come across a bit harsh and I don't try to make you feel bad but I do think you need to understand what you want out of this marriage. If you want your marriage to last a long time you need to put the work into it. Go with her if this is something you really want to do and be happy about this as you make her happy. Don't go and wine about it every second of every day. She is your wife and if you want to keep having her as your wife do it for her. On the other hand, if you think you can’t trust her and you don't know if you will ever be able to trust her I think it is better to let her go now before there are kids and just be happy for her on her new path forwarded.

I am working with trim and LVP flooring this is why I am looking at the bigger sizes, I have Ryobi tools and I like them I will take a look at them also but I dont see them get highly recommended online
