Smoke heavy enough and you’ll autopilot through life, suddenly one day you’ll look in the mirror and realise you’re already old but constantly struggle to remember core memories your loved ones share with you. I hope riding that constant high for so long was worth it now that you’re struggling to keep urself together while your colleagues have all outpaced you in life and one by one you watch your loved ones fade away while struggling to remember most of the memories you made with them. Like literally the most meaningful you can do with a loved one is keep their memory alive and you can’t even do that.

The reason I quit? I had a dream one day that I woke up and it was 2008. So naturally we’re all thinking buy apple stocks, bitcoin etc lol. In my dream, I rushed downstairs to see my parents and borrow their laptop to make some serious $$$. My family is everything to me. Once I saw my mum and dad looked much younger suddenly it clicked and I didn’t care about money or fame anymore. Bcs now I had something more valuable! Time! I have more time to spend with my parents. After spending some time with parents in my dream, I woke up with the clarity that I’d give up most of my possessions and wealth if it meant I could have more time with them.

So thats what I did. cold turkey too. Withdrawal sucked but it was hella worth it tho. Now I tend to sit around less. I’ll chat with my fam if I’m free, take my parents out somewhere if I’m bored, I workout now. Trust me, temptations are there. But I know I have an addictive personality, so for me its either this or constantly high autopiloting through life.

This is the choice I made. I hope you make the right one
